If you’re looking for a unique place to stay, then this converted Victorian water tower has your name on it. This red-brick gothic tower cuts an imposing figure on the skyline of Woodford Green, and has been wonderfully restored and converted to a luxurious standard. The vaulted kitchen diner is undoubtedly the star of the show. The room is dominated by large, elegant, circular windows on each side, all looking out across the beautiful parkland of Repton Park, Claybury Forest and the city beyond. Down one level, you’ll find a light-filled sitting room with plush red sofas and more outstanding views. The hotel-standard bedrooms and bathrooms slot in on the levels beneath with a floor each. This home is in the quieter reaches of the city, but it’s just a half-hour train ride to the West End. Closer still is buzzing East London, with its street markets and lively cultural and dining scene. There is also a wealth of local pubs and restaurants within strolling distance. Having said that, with such incredible sky-high dining, you’ll most likely be dining in.
