What a beautiful place with the warmest hosts.. When I arrived, my expectations were exceeded when I was met by Will and Karen and their gorgeous dog Buster. They welcomed me and showed me round the cottage and everything was perfect. The entire place was clean and tidy, with great new kitchen equipment and a log burner in the living room for those colder, cosier nights. I came to stay on my own as a 3 night retreat from the city and it worked a charm; the views are stunning, the area is incredibly quiet, the farm is a great place to walk around and the animals are all super friendly. I will definitely be visiting again as soon as I’m able to!

As a writer, Shepherds View really was the perfect location for peace and quiet as well as inspiration from it's surrounding views.. The hosts were great and really respected my privacy, I only saw them when I arrived and when I left but they were always on call if I needed anything. The Christmas tree was a wonderful touch an made me feel at home. I highly recommend Shepherds View for writers, musicians and artists who are looking for somewhere to be creative. I will be returning!

This is a lovely tranquil place to stay and really lifts the spirits, especially if you are normally a bit of a city dweller.. The hosts are very welcoming and friendly and their attention to detail is evident in the cleanliness, individuality of decor, comfortable furnishings, the Christmas tree and decorations not to mention the eggs, wine and biscuits. The gift bottle stopper came in very handy as well. We managed easily in the kitchen, for the two of us there was everything we needed. The long winding drive up needs to be taken cautiously but the gorgeous rolling hill views are well worth the climb. Plentiful logs kept us cosy and warm inside whilst outside the seating area was ideal for a glass of bubbly as the mists receded before the sun went down. A wander around the fields to meet the (very gentle) sheep and say hello to the (well behaved) dog and (gorgeous) cat was invigorating. A longer than anticipated trek across the Long Mynd even more so! Just wish we could have stayed longer. I think this is going to be a favourite!

On arrival your met with some wildlife you would not expect to at so close a quarters, then you drive onto the farm and are welcomed by Karen & William your hosts as you park outside your home to relax and enjoy the silence, fresh air and stunning views which continue from the double patio doors in the living room.. Again most mornings you are greeted by the wildlife that share the two bird feeders just beyond the raised decking. Once settled in.. just take a moment to listen to the wind and smell that freshness of air dancing across the hillside.

From start to finish this was exactly what was needed and booked.. Will & Karen could not have made us feel more welcome on our 'mini-moon'. The farm aspect of the property is brilliant and the animals are all so friendly! Pubs within walking distance (3-5 miles) views on top of the hill from the cottage for miles and a cosy log burner in a really clean and warm cottage... the perfect little break. We will be back!! We have also recommended the stay to 3 sets of friends! Thank you so much. Matt & Jane Bird Stayed Dec 27th-31st 2018.
