The picturesque sandy beach is just a five-minute walk away, so make sure you back your bucket and spade. After a day of sunbathing, pick up a bag of fish and chips or take a seat at one of the many seafood restaurants. If you're travelling with kids, we should warn you – once they catch sight of Margate's Dreamland amusement park they won't want to leave without a visit.
