Arrived for a four night stay after a very heavy snowfall. However, owners had cleared entrance to drive and cottage.
Lovely local walks, so driving is not really necessary. Castleton, Wynatts Pass, Snake Pass, Goyt Valley, Derwent Dams, Chatsworth House must be a high priority for you to visit, and are a short drive away.
Temperatures were -5 overnight, but the cottage was always extremely cosy and warm. Windows can still be opened for fresh air with our effecting the cottage temperatures.
All home comforts well maintained, DVD films and books also left for visitors to use. The cottage is so well maintained and immaculate inside. Fresh bed linen, towels available to. The beds were very comfortable, with extra bedding should You be cold...I really do doubt this though!
After a long day walking in sub zero temps, the lovely hot shower was most welcoming, even allowing you to warm your towels up on the heated towel rack.
Lovely secluded garden with amazing views over the peaks.
Overall, this cottage is an all year luxury accommodation. I will most certainly return no matter what season.
Do not miss an opportunity to stay here! I will be back soon.
