The location was idyllic, especially as a base for a walking holiday.. The owners, (whilst maintaining a safe social distance!) were most friendly and helpful.

Very cosy cottage in beautiful picturesque and peaceful surroundings on a working cattle farm.. Bed was very comfortable, with ample kitchen utensils provided. Owners friendly & offered a warm reception. We enjoyed exploring neighbouring villages and Shrewsbury town centre filled with historical buildings, castles, churches, cafes & shops. A walk up the steep Wrekin laid out to glorious vistas of the surrounding countryside of Shropshire. Would definitely recommend a stay here.

Excellent for a couple as advertised.. Great place for a quiet break but close enough to Shropshire’s tourist sites too. Very welcoming owners is a real bonus. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing break.

A lovely property in a beautiful area.. A journey along a long narrow lane surrounded by peasants and other wildlife made you feel like you were hiding away from the world. A serene jump off point for so many interesting walks, museums and places of interest we can't wait to return. The stay was made even nicer by the lovely warm welcome we received from Derek and Joan - thanks for the beautiful home made rock cakes Joan, and we already miss gorgeous Mollie the adorable sheep dog. Can't recommend the place highly enough. Thank you again for a mu h needs break.

We happened to be there when there was an amber weather warning and significant snow fall so we spent much more time in the cottage than expected and intended.. Fortunately the cottage was very warm and cosy and had all the facilities we needed. So although we could not do the sight-seeing and visiting we had hoped for we still enjoyed our break. The views of the Wrekin we could see without going outside were impressive especially as it disappeared with every snow flurry and re-appeared one stage whiter each time. The farm owners were very hospitable and offered us help if we needed it but were not at all intrusive. We would be very happy to go back there.

The owners were very friendly and we even got home baked cakes upon our arrival which was a lovely thought after a long journey. Although in a peaceful setting, the cottage was central to explore many aspects of Shropshire. The information provided by the owners, everything from the local shops to what went where with regards to our rubbish was exceptionally good, as was the amount of literature provided regarding places and events in the area.

The owner had made sure the heating was on before we arrive and it was lovely to be greeted with a nice cosy, warm cottage on such a cold wintry day - and the cakes were a nice touch too, thanks. We got stuck with the snow, and the farmer was very happy to dig us out, very friendly and helpful, thank you. All in all, we loved the property, very comfortable and cosy, wonderfully quiet and secluded, perfect for a relaxing get-away weekend. We would happily return to stay again and thoroughly recommend to others.

Gor the dairy instead so people who had booked didnt have to move out & back in. Very lovely people & dog, Molly on working farm in very quiet area. Barn owl flew over car on approach to house. So cosy & had everything we needed for weekend break. One place I would go back to & not just for homemade cake on arrival. Did find farm hard to find due to lack of lighting on road through but no real problem

Very warm and friendly owners. Peaceful surroundings. Excellent standard of accommodation - even better than it appeared in the photos! Good location - close enough to plenty of places to visit, but remote enough to be peaceful.
