A lovely cottage set in peaceful surroundings with a large conservatory that catches the sun all day.. Good sized enclosed garden so very safe for children and dogs to run around in. The large kitchen was very well equipped with a good sized fridge and stand alone 3 drawer freezer, large bedroom and comfortable bed. Cosy evenings by the open fire. Short drive from some of the most beautiful beaches in Wales. Small supermarket in Aberdaron, 2.5 miles, stocking everything you require there is also a lovely bakery and coffee shop. The owners are very helpful and friendly should you need them. It far exceeded our expectations. A perfect cottage in a perfect location.

Llyn Peninsula is an area of outstanding views - we went to Porth Awyr last year as well, and we and our bid dog are getting to know a lovely range of hill walks (not too steep! ), in addition to the well-known coastal walks. More to come no doubt! The area is approaching Aberdaron, so is nearly at the end of the peninsula - you can see Bardey Island peeping through from the back garden. The cottage is good - especially if you enjoy a quiet, peaceful area, where the only likely ones to see are the local couple of farmers and their cows, sheeps, farm dogs - and an occasional friendly visit from the owner.

A perfect little cottage which was what we were looking for, It was in a very quiet and peaceful location, and in easy reach of beaches and lots of walks to choose from, Also had no problem going to and from other places to visit.. So if you want somewhere to chill out this is the place for you, I can recommend it.

The cottage is extremely comfortable and well equipped.. It is in a lovely quiet rural location with very little passing traffic. Useful enclosed grassed areas outside which are safe for those with children and dogs. Just about perfect for visiting the sights of the Lleyn peninsular and in particular the lovely seaside village of Aberdaron and Porthor (whistling sands). Could be improved with the addition of a small freezer; we visited during a heatwave and could have done with ice cubes in our drinks.

We had a lovely weekend , the cottage is so cosy and set in the middle of beautiful surrounding countryside, Aberdaron and Abersoch only short drives away.. If you need a peaceful and quiet time away then I highly recommend this property. Only downside was the mattress was far too soft (that’s just a personal preference) and the property doesn’t have a freezer (but when the temperatures are at minus we kept the ice outside :-)

This was one of the best winter breaks we have had .. The cottage was a delight and so cosy. We would definitely consider going back.

No heating or TV when we arrived on the Friday afternoon. Heating was "fixed" TV wasn't. No heating again on Saturday. TV was fixed Saturday morning and heating eventually fixed early Saturday afternoon. These interruptions ruined what was supposed to be a relaxing weekend to celebrate my Wife's Birthday. Complained to Sykes (who I booked the holiday through - who I paid and who issued the receipt!). No reply so they are obviously "hiding" behind their T's and C's whereby the "contract" is with the owner (who Sykes will not give an address for so that I can take t up directly). I will never book another holiday through Sykes as, in my opinion, their Customer Service is non-existent! BEWARE!!

The cottage was very well equipped but the fridge had no icebox in it.. Most people bring a coolbag but have no means of freezing an icepack.

A lovely cosy comfortable cottage which was well maintained, equipped and spotlessly clean. In a beautiful secluded spot within easy reach of all places of interest and gorgeous beaches. Would definitely book again.

This is a cosy little cottage in a beautifully quiet location. To give an idea of the quietness, the highest number of vehicles passing our door in one day was 4 (two of those was the postman)! We used it as a base for walking along the coastal path, exploring the peninsula and wider area. It was clean and tidy upon arrival, the key collection was straightforward. The cottage was equipped for 4 people (the max number that can stay). There was a dishwasher and washer/dryer which worked perfectly. For our comfort the double bed was far too soft, luckily as there was only three of us we could simply swap the sleeping arrangements. Aberdarron is a lovely little village nearby (3miles), Abersoch is a 'trendy' little village a little further away. We can highly recommend Dylan's in Cricceith. Part of the attraction of this cottage was that we could take our dog. We also thoroughly enjoyed stargazing at night as a bonus due to virtually no light pollution. We would certainly recommend this cottage for peace, quiet and relaxation.
