Head slightly further afield and visit Polperro and Looe with their rugged coastlines, small beaches and range of independent shops, galleries, cafes and restaurants.In the 18th century, two hundred and fifty years ago, it is recorded there was a tunnel from underneath the stairs to the boatyard below. This was used for smuggling! Part of the brick archway collapsed, and the entrances to the tunnel were filled in some years ago. Enter this rustic traditional Captains House and step back in time. The garden is a real feature of the property and is perfect haven for wild life with a secret garden feel in the heart of the village.
