Property Description

Holiday home
Plas Madog Isa is a unique holiday house, having won architectural awards for design, and we are delighted to be able to offer you the chance to spend time here. It sits in a peaceful location on the outskirts of the bustling town of Llanrwst, and enjoys dramatic views over fields towards the opposite side of the valley. "Plas Madoc Isa could be described as Retro but it is not quite - the house won lots of architectural awards and now is a wonderful, welcoming comfy clean house with amazing views." There is much to see and do, both in and around this picturesque Welsh market town. For food lovers, Blas ar Fwyd is a name synonymous with the finer things in Welsh food and drink - there is a delicatessen, a wine shop and a restaurant all on one road, and they are highly recommended. Nearby is Gwydir Castle, a historic destination well worth a visit. For those looking for a bit more action, the Treetops adventure centre is a must, if you can stomach the heights! Just 15 minutes' drive away is the internationally famed Bodnant Garden, which offers something different to admire with each changing season. This is such a bright and cheery house, generously proportioned, and it makes a great base for exploring this stunning part of North Wales. Perfect for a family holiday!

Area
Llanrwst is a thriving market town which stands in the beautiful Conwy Valley, only four miles from picturesque Betws-y-Coed, known as the 'Gateway to Snowdonia' and which is North Wales's most popular inland resort. Surrounded by dense woodland and magnificent mountain country, this is a haven for walkers and outdoor enthusiasts alike. At Betws-y-Coed the River Conwy meets its three tributaries flowing from the west, and the beauty of the area is enhanced by cascading waterfalls, river pools and ancient bridges. Most famous of all are the magnificent Swallow Falls, situated where the Llugwy River hurls itself into a spectacular chasm. The village has shops, pubs, places to eat, miniature railway, a riverside golf course and the Woodland High Rope Activity Centre, and is home to The Snowdonia National Park Visitor Centre, as well as being the start of the beautiful Conwy Valley which leads to the coast and the lovely towns of Llandudno and Conwy.

Quiet location.. Lovely views. Ideally situated out of village but near enough for facilities. Plenty of space inside and out. Garden is over-looked by neighbouring property (not shown in photos) Fully enclosed (if you close the driveway gate on arrival) wrap around garden, except small dogs could get through the wooden gate bars and be straight onto the road. Wire mesh fencing on the gate would solve this issue. Everything supplied for your basic needs. Mattresses and sofas have seen better days, in our opinion. House was cold on arrival. Had to search for thermostat and first ever holiday (in 29 years all over the UK) with no welcome basket. Could have done without going to the shops for basics after travelling all day. Good wi-fi. Basic Freewiew on T.V. Kept losing BBC signal.
