A wonderful cottage in a great area, will definitely stay there again
Mr Burston, September 2020

As we shared with the owner we were disappointed that all the plates were still dirty (they had been washed in the dishwasher but food remained on them and the wine glasses had lipstick on them).. The owner stated she would follow this up with the cleaning company. This experience did not fill me with reassurance in respects of the standard of cleaning throughput the home taking into account it was during covid 19

Pinecote was ideal for the two of us, being warm and cosy and very close to the town.. We hardly used the car and the parking permit allowed us to park right outside. The owner was very welcoming and helpful. The cottage is small, but perfect for what we needed.

The house needs a good clean every where, The TV is too small it is the size 21 inch that you would have in the bedroom, also needs new furniture they old and uncomfortable to sit on , when you have been out for the day you what you what furniture comfortable , and also miss Fisher should get window cleaners to clean all the windows, this is our first holiday with Syles , I just hope the house is better than this on our next holiday with you ..

Dining chairs falling apart.House itself okay.short walk to town centre.

The cottage is well placed with a short walk into town.. About 10 minutes. It was clean, and well kitted out. However the sofas are worn out, and so uncomfortable. I would say the springs have gone, and should be replaced. It is also tiny, so you do need to get on if there are more than 4 of you. We found that we spent more time out, even evenings, than in.

Was our first visit to Stratford upon Avon, it will not be our last.. We hope to return soon. People were very friendly and there was lots to see and do. Highlights were Shakespeare’s school rooms and Mary Arden’s Farm. Pinecote is a cosy, well equipped, cottage within walking distance of the town. It is not luxurious, some of the furnishings were a little shabby, but we found it comfortable and relaxing. The coffee, tea and biscuits provided were a nice touch, as were the cleaning supplies and dish cloths. Enough kitchen equipment is provided to prepare a full meal, should you feel that way inclined. We were very happy with the cottage and would not hesitate to stay there again.

This cottage was situated in an ideal location for exploring the very beautiful town of Stratford-Upon -Avon and the surrounding area .. We did not have a car but were able to walk to the many places of interest and explore the town centre and the beautiful River Avon. The excellent variety of local pubs and restaurants provided a great choice of menus. Public transport was good - especially the convenience of the city tour bus giving the opportunity to explore places further afield. We were given a warm welcome by the owner and everything in the cottage was very clean and cosy and all that we needed for our stay was there Thank you for a wonderful week in Stratford-Upon-Avon.

The only thing that lets the cottage down are the mattresses on beds are old and unsupportive really need replacing.. We also had to put all crockery, cutlery & pots and pans through dishwasher before we could use them. But on the whole it was ok.

Lovely welcome by owner, much appreciated.. Pinecote is in a great situation, just 5-10 min walk to town centre. Parking permit was great too. Guests should be aware bathroom is downstairs. Shower not working while we there but there was plenty of hot water and lovely bath. House was lovely and warm too, especially welcome as it was weekend of snow storm. Only grumble would be owner wants you out by 10, which is early for self catering. We were tidying up and sure enough owner arrived at 10:10to strip beds, we therefore got stuff together and left. Apart from this, lovely stay, thank you.

Brilliant property for avid theatre goers as it is within easy walking distance from the RSC.. Very comfortable and clean little cottage and the owner was extremely welcoming.

The reason we would'nt book Pinecote again is because of the narrow stairs my husband has problems with his knees and struggled to go to the bathroom in the night, otherwise its a lovely place and just the right distance from the town..

We had a sad stay here - we were a family of four, two adults and two small kids. The house was too small for a family. Much better suited to a couple or two friends. While on first look the property was nice (maybe we were jet lagged!) the stay was hindered by a number of factors. The kitchen table makes it difficult for anyone not cooking/washing up to be in there - you kind of need to sit at the table to be out of the way. The bathroom, although 'renovated' was awful and fell far below my standards. It was a super bad diy experiment! It smelt damp and not just from condensation from a shower. There was visible damp signs in the outer lobby towards the bathroom. The carpet on the stair was old and not fixed well, my husband actually fell down the stairs because of this! The kitchen chairs are cheap and nasty and one actually collapsed during our stay, we had to fit it. The pillow and duvet were not new and fresh. The house was either hot or cold! It got so warm we had to open windows in December! I would not recommend this place if staying for any period of time. For a night stop off it would work great as the location is fantastic.

A really comfortable and cosy 2 bed property, in the middle of a terrace, nicely refurbished and ideally placed for Stratford (an easy 10 minute walk to the town centre and the RSC). Furnishings all seem new and very comfortable. Very friendly owner, lives about 1/2 mile away. Small convenience shops only 2-3 minutes away in each direction. If you are looking for a great base for a holiday in a simple but very comfortable style, this is one of the best we have used and we would certainly go back.

August 2013
The property was very clean, well maintained and with enough furniture and gadgets to make your stay very pleasurable. It was in a great position, an easy walk straight into the center of Stratfod-upon-avon and all the attractions of the town. Although the property is small, it is certainly large enough for a family of four. The only possible problem is the parking, although we were able to park along the street in front of the property most of the time, but there were times when it was necessary to park in adjourning streets.
