A lovely spacious cottage set in our beautiful rural location. A super place to relax and to enjoy the views from the hot tub.
We loved having an open fire and an aga and watching the wildlife including pheasants and woodpeckers from the window.
Fresh milk was available at the dairy close to the cottage.
Having stayed at a number of other self catering cottages we were disappointed that none of the basics were provided, such as toilet rolls, milk, tea, coffee, hand towels (provided when requested), spare light bulbs, logs for the first fire, dishwasher salt to name a few. We really missed these usual welcoming touches.
It would have been nice to have had a useful info folder to share how to use the aga, good places to eat, local markets, emergency doctors/dentist. Of course we could Google but local recommedations are always better.
