Old Mill Cottage is an old mill conversion situated in the small hamlet of Crook, near Kendal in Cumbria. It boasts four bedrooms; a double with en-suite shower room, two further doubles and a single, sleeping seven in total. Inside is also a bathroom, kitchen, utility, dining room and sitting room with woodburning stove. To the exterior is off-road parking for 2 cars and a garden with patio and furniture. Old Mill Cottage offers family and friends a wonderful base for touring the Lake District National Park.

Crook is a small hamlet located in the heart of Lakeland countryside and offers access to the Lake District National Park. There are two hotels/pubs in Crook itself and a wide variety of walks on the surrounding fells. Less than six miles from Lake Windermere - England's longest lake - and a similar distance from all of the amenities of Kendal.

Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.

Great location, comfortable and relaxing.. Dog friendly and able to use the garden to sit, eat and drink. Everything u needed was in the cottage. The little touches the owners did was lovely especially the dog basket which was left for our use.

Old Mill Cottage is beautiful, warm and cosy and the perfect retreat for myself, my husband our little boy Harvey and of course our two dogs Simba and Chester.. We were made to feel so welcome with complimentary biscuits for all, towels etc for muddy paws, Kendal mint cake to sample! We found the cottage a great base for visiting all the lakes attractions as we celebrated our son’s second birthday during our stay. Everything we needed to make it feel like a home from home. We didn’t want to leave. Thanks for a lovely week!

Certainly a rare find was this gem of a property in the Lake District! Personally I feel the photos presented on the website looked “ok” hence the reason we booked however upon our arrival we were positively delighted with this very fabulous cute, cosy and immaculate property Photos on the website certainly don’t do it justice! My husband,my three teenage boys and my elderly mum and our dog just loved every aspect of this holiday home Incredibly well laid out with a fabulous cosy log fire in the lounge area- just perfect for relaxing with a glass or two after a long walk Certainly much larger than we first envisaged The kitchen was very well designed and impressive space with everything you need to hand and yet still retaining that snug cottage feel and look Plenty of choice of bedrooms and every space designed and presented with style. Both bathrooms were of an equally high standard and design Certainly a property that is very much loved and highly maintained by its owners - credit to them

Lovely property, well located as a base for Windermere, Kendal etc.. Very well equipped property where the owners have really capitalised on the original features and complemented them with lovely decor, pictures etc. The kitchen/utility rooms were particularly well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The main living room was spacious yet cosy, with the added ambience of the woodburner. Would definitely recommend.

We had a lovely, relaxing holiday in Old Mill Cottage.. The cottage is very clean, well equipped and comfortable. It has a very homely feel and the owners have gone to the trouble of providing a lot of little extras: dog treats and towels for muddy paws, toiletries, basic kitchen provisions to start the holiday off and more besides. The wood burner is very welcome for cold autumn nights and very easy to use. The furniture is very comfortable and perfect for sitting watching the many birds that visit the garden. The bedrooms are lovely with very comfortable beds and quality bed linen. One of the best cottages we have stayed in.
