Old Church Coach House is a semi-detached converted coach house in the village of Church Leigh set in the grounds of the owner's home. The property has three double bedrooms and one bathroom and sleeps six people. The sitting room has a designer fireplace and the open plan living area has a kitchen, dining area and French doors that open out on to a sheltered courtyard and garden. There is off road parking for three cars included. Old Church Coach House is a luxury cottage and is a fantastic base for couples or for families in a beautiful part of Staffordshire.

Steeped in history and situated at the southern end of the Peak District, is the lovely village of Church Leigh with a beautiful Norman church. With Uttoxeter Racecourse and Alton Towers within very easy reach, this is a lovely village for a holiday.

Just returned from a stay at Old Church Cottage in Church Leigh. The owners couldn't have made us feel more welcome and at hand for any minor questions or just a chat about the area was great. They made it clear the house was ours to relax and they would leave us be unless we needed them. The house is spotless and cosy fitting 4 adults and 2 children on this occasion. Our purpose was Alton Towers, however we ventured to lots more places and had some lovely meals out and in! (2 meals at the Raddle Inn not too far away as it had play area and bouncy castle and pool table for us all enjoy, with big food portions, excellent prices and tastey too). The cottage has toys and books and puzzles, which was great even though we had our own things, the children enjoyed new things. The owners had kindly left out some tea, coffee and biscuits just a lovely touch! We had so many more places to visit and wanted to stay longer. This house is a great place to stay and would highly recommend it to all.

This is a lovely house, Spotlessly clean and beautifully kitted out.. It was ideal for our young family (2 adults, 3 year old, 1 year old). The hosts have been very helpful and we cannot wait til we come back. 30 mins from Alton Towers, 60 mins from Drayton Manor and there is plenty for a family to explore around Stoke. For those who want peace and quiet, the cottage is surrounded by lovely countryside - that also means if you need to be in a town with a lot of amenities or you don’t have a car this is probably not the place. We’ve had a brilliant time and have loved the house.

We stayed at the old church coach house for 2 nights whilst going to Alton towers scare fest.. The cottage was absolutely beautiful! Clean, comfortable a real home from home! Amenities were all available making the stay so easy! Beds were so comfortable and the house was modern but cosy! The owners were so lovely and helpful and even left a little treat for us to enjoy. We couldn’t fault at thing and are hoping to go back next year for longer!

The location is perfect for Alton towers, with Uttoxeter on your door step. The owners, Mr and Mrs Bellchambers were lovely and very welcoming. This accommodation is superb.. Lots of homely touches which made it very special. Milk in the fridge and treats to eat too, much appreciated. The house is sparkling clean with comfortable beds and all the amenities you could wish for. Located behind the village pub in a peaceful countryside setting. It was a beautiful house in a beautiful location.. A welcome card with sweets and biscuits, as well as milk in the fridge on arrival gave it that special touch. Met the owners next door, who were lovely and friendly and gave suggestions on places to visit. Excellent. Hope we will go again soon.

Had a lovely week in Church Leigh.. The cottage was very pretty and comfortable. The garden was beautiful and private - ideal for relaxing in during the hot sunny week we were there. A lovely cottage with a well-kept garden in a nice area with plenty to do within about 40 mins drive, eg Trentham Gardens, Tissington Trail, Sudbury, Cannocks Chase.. But a few minor niggles: 1. Only duvets available were too warm for the weather (an issue at most cottages we have stayed at) 2. Only one bath mat, so were constantly moving it between the bathroom and ensuite shower room. 3. Heated towel rails would be good (think they were probably the type that heat up with the heating but no good in summer) - we did manage to dry the towels off each day by putting up the airer in the downstairs toilet and rotating them twice a day, but not ideal!

This cottage was booked by Mrs K Duckworth on behalf of my mother, Mrs B Paterson and 2 friends who were attending my wedding in the church at Church Leigh.. They liked everything about the cottage, pristine condition, very good value even though they only stayed 4 nights. Lots of interesting things to do in easy reach, and plenty of really good places to have dinner out. Particularly recommend The Dunscombe Arms at Ellastone, though essential to book as it's very popular.
