Ocean Breeze is a superb apartment, all on one level on the fourth floor with sea views and situated in the Devon coastal town of Ilfracombe. The apartment sleeps four people and has one king bedroom with en-suite, a twin bedroom and a family bathroom. There is an open plan kitchen, dining and sitting area and a large balcony with seating. Allocated parking is within a gated car park. Walking distance to the beach and the towns’ amenities, Ocean Breeze is an excellent apartment for a family holiday.

Fourth floor (lift and stair access). All on one level. Two bedrooms: 1 x king with en-suite shower, basin and WC, 1 x twin. Bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC. Open plan kitchen, dining and sitting area.

Area
Ilfracombe lies in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on a beautiful stretch of North Devon coastline, with five beaches and a pretty harbour now famous for the Damien Hirst bronze statue ‘Whoever’ that stands guard over the entrance. Once a Victorian retreat. the town is now a vibrant and popular resort with a fine variety of restaurants, cafes and shops in the town. The hand carved Tunnels Beaches offers some of the best rockpooling to be found and is also a busy wedding venue.

Region
Devon, with its quiet country lanes, patchwork of lush green fields and sleepy villages is not to be missed. Stately home lovers will be spoiled and why not finish with a scrumptious Devonshire cream tea?

Unfortunately all movement from apartment above transits noise to below and when there's excited children it means you can't relax or enjoy the holiday. Shame as apartment and location OK. Nothing special but OK and decent kitchen however doubt we can put up with the noise for a full week.

Small point but simpler television would have been better for us on the few occasions we watched it, no idea how it worked & we couldn't find any instructions.. Everything else was wonderful.

The apartment was in the best position in Ilfracombe in a quiet elevated spot on the cliffs with great views but with only a short walk to town.. It also had parking. (It might be worth explaining if you park outside the apartment to collect your keys from the bin area the key then has a fob to open the gate to the car park) The facilities in the apartment were excellent with fast broadband and a large tv linked to the WiFi. (We are easily impressed by such technology) It has large French windows with.lovely views out to sea and of The rocks and small bay below. It also has a balcony where you can sit and even in March it received some evening sunshine. The South West coastal path passes the door and there are beautiful cliff walks to Lea or through the town and on east to Watermouth.

Fabulous apartment with best sea views ever.. Easy to book through Sykes, who provide all information needed bia email, or their App. We had a wonderful time and would recommend this accommodation, and Sykes.

A perfect location close to the CBD and harbour with wonderful ocean views.. An ideal base for discovering the north Devon Coast and the Moors. As good as it gets with all modern conveniences.

Ocean Breeze is on the fourth floor of Granville Point, an imposing, castellated former Victorian hotel in the centre of Ilfracombe. The views stretched far and wide, from the town’s seafront across the Bristol Channel to south Wales. There’s a balcony off the stylishly furnished lounge / kitchen / diner and an even bigger one off the spacious double bedroom. And as we were holidaying during a heatwave we were blessed with some stunning sunsets as we sat there, glass in hand.It's on a quiet road so there was nothing to disturb the sound of seagulls squalling and waves rolling in, seemingly beneath our feet. Having said that, helicopters from a nearby RAF base occasionally swooped low over the apartment in scenes reminiscent of Apocalypse Now! My wife and I were even able to take in the views as we showered in the en suite bathroom, while retaining our dignity at all times. We were just a hop, skip and jump away from Ilfracombe’s seafront gardens where we were surprised to find a tribute to Jonathan Edwards.

As we were staying for 2 weeks it was important to have a washer /dryer.. The machine in the flat was not working and, although we reported this on arrival, the engineer did not attend to fix it until the last day of the fortnight. A drying rack was provided as an interim solution but the delay in fixing the machine was a disappointment.

This was one of the best places we have ever stayed in.. We will certainly be going back. Waking up to that sea view everyday was really spectacular.

Car park gate entry system is very temperamental and the key fob did not operate the gate when manual operation was turned off..
