We were very pleased with this property and it’s location as it was situated in the middle of Windermere 50yds from the Main Street of shops and restaurants .. The provided parking was a real plus as parking in this area is limited .The relatively level walking to local facilities was a bonus as we had an elderly relative with us.The property itself had been refurbished to a high standard and included a fully equipped kitchen and was made really homely in its decor.Defiantly will visit again

No16 was ideally located on a side street in Windermere.. The main st was at the bottom of the road, but it was very quiet. A 20 minute walk down to Bowness-on-Windermere. Parking space fits a medium family size car.
The house has good facilities, though just one shower. This didn’t cause us a problem though.
Washing machine & tumble drier in an outhouse, just steps from the backdoor.
Beds very comfortable, tv in all bedrooms and living room.
Supplied with 2 keys which is handy when you’re with teenagers.
Nice welcome pack of jams & fudge on our arrival. Owner super helpful.

Fantastic house for us to spend a few days away in a lovely part of the country.. Our host Mrs Davis was fantastic with our requests and queries prior to our arrival.

The location of this property could not have been better - right in the centre of the gorgeous shops & restaurants in Windermere.. The house was beautiful and finished to a high spec. It was clean, warm & a pleasure to stay in. Beds were super comfy & bed linen felt very luxurious. Plenty of towels provided, good Wi-Fi signal & the lovely addition of a welcome basket. Parking for our one car was easy, and the owner Rania was very helpful and responsive on text.
I literally have nothing negative to say or suggestions to improve - it was a truly beautiful house.

Perfect location in Windermere, 30 seconds and you are on the Main Street with all the amenities at hand.. Parking the car was a bit tight but a total bonus of not having to find somewhere to park. The accommodation had everything you require for a stay and a lovely touch of welcome pack.

We had a fantastic time at the cottage.. In terms of location it was ideal and on the doorstep of all the shops, restaurants and bars. The house itself was beautiful with everything you needed, this trip was with the girls but I will definitely be returning with my family.
This is a fabulous cottage with plenty of room and car park at front of the house (plus additional parking on street with permit for 1 additional car). It is a hop and skip away from shops, restaurants, butcher, supermarket. Windermere train is within walking distance. The cottage is equipped for cooking and laundry. The owner is very responsive and helpful. It has 2 renovated and modern bathroom. Lots of closet and drawers for clothes if you are having a long stay. There are guest pass for nearby health club where there is a pool. We did not have time to go but is a nice plus. It is a nice 20-30mins walk to the lakes. Would recommend leaving your car at the cottage and just have a nice stroll to the lakes as it is difficult to find car park. This was a perfect location for us to explore different parts of the lake district as Windermere is quite centrally located.

In a great location, one minute walk from Windermere town centre. Number 16 is a lovely house, very homely and comfortable with a well equipped kitchen, two excellent bathrooms and lovely bedrooms with comfortable beds. I would stay here again. Recommended.
The location of the property was absolutely perfect . As we went at Christmas time the village of Windermere was lit up to reflect the time of year. Spending time away at Christmas is very special and we were not disappointed. The property had absolutely everything we could have needed and more. It was like being at a home away from home. There were lovely individual touches to all the rooms.
Number 16 is absolutely beautiful and very well-kept. My partner and I went away as a Christmas present to each other and we had the best time. We loved the fact that so many cafes and restaurants were on our door-step. I would certainly recommend this property.

We particularly liked the excellent location of Number 16. The cottage was very comfortable. We really enjoyed being able to use the gym and swimming pool facilities at the McDonald hotel in Bowness.
The location was great. Very central with lots of shops nearby and good access to main roads to visit other towns in the area. This property is comfortable and homely with everything needed to make our stay enjoyable. The facilities were more than adequate with attention to detail in all rooms. We will definitely think seriously about staying at Number 16 again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property to others.
Loved this Cottage, (No16) When we arrived we had a complimentary gift of jams a lovely gesture we thought. It was like a tardis inside, the bathroom & shower room both had toilets which was a bonus for 6 of us staying there. had a parking permit for 1 car as only one space for a car wasn't too bad to get a space from Sunday had 5 roads to park but most where taken on the Saturday, the owner let us park at the back of the property. Mrs Davies was extremely helpful.
We also had a pass to the spa hotel used the swimming pool there & you didn't need to take towels.
Quite a few pubs, restaurants, shops & supermarkets close by but quite a walk to the lake parking was a nightmare by the lake.
I would definitely recommend this Cottage to anyone.
The house was lovely, and in an excellent location within walking distance to a nice range of restaurants, coffee bars and shops. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed to enjoy our holiday. This is a great base for exploring the Lake District and we would recommend to friends and family.

Ideal location just 1/2 mile from lake and 1 mile from Windermere. The only minor irritant with the property was the number of signs posted all over the property about what we could (mainly couldn't do). We are adults and don't need reminding of what our responsibilities of renting a property entails.

The location of the cottage is excellent being so close to the village. The cottage is extremely comfortable with everything you need and having a dryer was very useful with the wet weather that we experienced. This was our second visit to Number 16 and would certainly recommend this holiday to anyone.
The house was wonderful. Girls loved games room. The whole house was excellent; location, well looked after and good space. The free use of the spa facilities was excellent and was a lovely bonus. Also, the owner was very friendly and was happy to call if needed in an emergency.

We had a lovely and very comfortable stay at Number 16. The leisure passes were a great bonus and our 6 year old loved the playroom. We enjoyed days out walking and it was a great base to come back to.

The Cottage was decorated to a high standard and we were very pleased with kitchen bathroom facilities and bedrooms were comfortable. The only small suggestion we would make is to include a of folding chairs for use in the lounge as it was a little tight on sofa space for 6 people.

Comfortable and central for walks and visits, very quiet. Numerous buses and a very good supermarket. Nice decoration and furniture. For the French, a true symbol of the charming and gentle England.
We visited No 16 with our daughter, her husband, baby and toddler who had travelled from Orkney. We had come from near Bath,so everyone was tired. We arrived to lovely welcome pack, a warm house and our host visited to make sure we had all the information we needed, which was very considerate. The house was great for our 2 year old grandson who was safe to run around downstairs. The town cente was seconds away, which was useful when we needed milk etc at the last minute but our house was nice and quiet. Even out of season there was loads to do and we would definitely stay there again.

The house was great for three generations including a toddler and a baby. Two bathrooms was excellent news and there was plenty of space in both. The owner was extremely helpful and the welcome pack a nice surprise.

A truly memorable Christmas break in this superb cottage. Location - fantasic, walking distance to everything . The house itself is full of charm, decorated beautifully, and has everything you could possible need for a berak. We made christmas dinner here and had 6 of us round the table comfortably. We used the washing machine , DVD player, and bbq on boxing day and all to a high quality standard . Beds are soft and comfy, and a great shower!
We used the facilities at the spa/gym which was included in the rental package and was a real nice touch to our wonderful stay! The swimming pool here looks on to the lakes and is def worth exploring .
The owner could not have been more helpful to our requests, and was easily available at all times. I have recommended the accomodation to family and friends , and will def be back .

This house in the centre of Bowness,Windermere is amazing, superbly decorated and complete with all the utensils you would expect of a luxury holiday rental. Being in the centre parking is at a premium but we found the space at the front and then the parking permit for the surrounding streets perfect. The village is quaint and full of interesting and quality products. If you are going to the lakes look no further, book now!!!
We arrived and found a welcome pack in the kitchen with tea, jam etc in the same very nice! We loved the decor and the modern feel and the location was excellent, right in the centre and near all shopd and restaurants, take aways etc, beds very comfy although could do with buying some pillow protectors!
In the advert for the place it says parking for 2 cars on the front - you wouldnt in any way fit 2 we lukily only took 1 car and had trouble getting out sometimes because of the chef from over the road parking straight opposite making it very difficult to manouver. Not so sure I would go again just yet as I will wait until my youngest daughter whom has just gone into a bed is bigger as no stair gate on top landing which would scare me! All in all though I would go again probably in a few years lovely!
This certainly is a luxurious cottage and it's in a great location for the centre of town, with coffee shops and restaurants a stones throw away. The owner was very helpful too. The only draw back is that the lounge and 'the garden' are extremely small.

The cottage was lovely and felt like home from the 1st day. Everything we could possibly need was there and the bathrooms were lovely, the property was very clean. The location was perfect, near shops and restaurants but very quiet. All of our party was very impressed with the cottage, it was pretty much perfect and we were all sad to leave!
The standard and decor was very good - the bathrooms modern and spacious, the bedrooms comfortable and roomy. Separate games room for the kids and adults. Welcome pack was thoughtful. Passes for the leisure centre were an added bonus and well used during our stay. Cottage is central but peaceful. Good attention to detail - which is appreciated.

We had a wonderful time. The location was perfect and we were able to do some easy walks from our property as well as going out for days to other parts of the Lake District. Then, after our days out, we could come home and relax, and it did feel like home.

The cottage was lovely, really good central position in Windermere and yet so quiet. The kitchen was especially well equipped and the bathrooms were lovely. We had a fantastic week of walking whilst the younger members of our group went mountain biking, Go Ape at Grizedale and rock climbing at Honister - plenty of activities for everyone. The facilities at 'The Old England' were excellent.

The access to the gym and spa were a great asset for the younger members of the party. We all had an excellent holiday and we found it to be very good value for money.

The situation was good. We were left a bottle of wine and chocolates, friendly touches around the house, cannot fault it at all.
Four long term friends who gather together annually from all parts of the country, chose this venue from the brochure and were not disappointed. We enjoyed a comfortable and relaxed venue, clean and well appointed though we did wonder how we might have managed if the full compliment of six were present. Our sole concern was the lack of contact with agent or owner when a power failure meant we then had to use our initiative, which worked for us, but could equally not have done so. The central position meant we could walk out to eat and park,driving to other locations around the area during the day to see the sights we wanted to access, particularly the splended art and crafts houses within easy reach.

Such a lovely house, great decor, lovely comfortable beds and furnishings, with everything you need. Location was excellent, so central yet very quiet.
The location was excellent and the owner had very kindly left us some chocolates and a bottle of champagne as it was my 30th birthday which was really thoughtful. The bathrooms in the property were great and it was good to have the parking permit for an extra car which we did use. Ability to use the spa was also a real positive. There were lots of thoughtful touches such as toiletries in the bathrooms, DVD's that you could watch, and milk in the fridge when we arrived which were excellent.
The overall decor and finish to the house was excellent. The leisure passes were very welcome and we managed to use them 4 times in the week.

Well located near amenities of Windermere yet in a pleasant and quiet side street. Old Lakeland stone cottage but refurbished to a good standard in a modern but appropriate style. Leisure club membership at the Old England hotel is big plus for the rainy days or at the end of a day walking.
