Access to everything distance to all things.. Solitude, peace and tranquility. A real away-from-it-all place.

Nana's House was a beautiful cottage in a stunning location Often you read about somewhere having a view of the lake /river /mountains and then it is only from the roof with telescope! NOT so in this case , the kitchen/dining room has two windows overlooking the inlet between the Beara and Kerry, absolutely stunning views. The cottage was quiet and quite isolated but only 10 minutes walk from the shore . The wonderful townland of Allihies is only 10-15 minutes away by car and is worthy of any praise it gets Mr Murphy was kind and welcoming and great to talk to if you needed information. The cottage was very clean , cosy and a great place to stay for exploring the Ring of Beara I would recommend this property to anyone wanting the rael taste of Co Cork and finally, I have to say that Sykes Cottages are a great organisation as everything was spot on and smoothly planned and executed. I will use them again!

We loved staying at Nana's cottage, was a great week.. Surrounding scenery and landscape is dramatic, views from the property great. Only thing was the wifi which was off a lot of the time. The family were very welcoming and helpful. Highly recommend.

I have stayed at Nanas house twice now. Pat and Teresa are great hosts and nothing is too much. Beautiful and tranquil spot to stay and whined down from city life. Nanas is dog friendly and is very comfortable with everything you need when self catering. Thanks Pat and Teresa for another value for money stay . See you next year. Fin.

Great place.. The Murphy's were the best, and Glen was quite funny and friendly. We can't wait to get back to Beara and rent one of the Murphy's places again for next summer. Great memories here. Truly a great time.

We really enjoyed our time at this fantastic cottage in Ireland. The views are unbelievable. The cottage, itself, was very well decorated, and there was plenty of room. The hosts, Patrick and Theresa, were very kind and were always around for questions. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. On a side note, there were a couple of issues. First off, there is no wifi in the house. They did have a little wifi device that we could borrow from them which took care of that problem. Sadly, their usual one was broken when we arrived, and the new one didn't arrive until the day before we left. This wasn't really their fault, and I can't blame them. But, boy, it would have been nice if they had it earlier. We were kinda spaced out on a number of issues, and that little wifi device would have came in handy. Also, it would be nice if they could get some different fry pans for the kitchen. I hate using scratched up non-stick pans for anything. Some more stainless steel pans would be great. Also, it's not like this was a huge deal or anything. It's just something that would be good for future guests.
