Beds were so uncomfortable I barely slept.. Well established cobwebs in kitchen/living area and lots of dirt under the sofas. Located on a very busy road

Cottage was very nice and comfortable.. Perhaps let people know it is on a busy road and drive is quite difficult to get out of as it’s hard to see traffic approaching round a bend. Also that although you have a small part of the garden to sit out in the owners have a swimming pool in the main part of the garden which they use to entertain friends which means you can’t really sit out there as it feels like an intrusion plus you may not want to hear their music or conversation. I know it was an exceptionally hot week and can’t blame them for wanting to use their pool but had we known we would probably have picked somewhere different as we like to be able to sit in the garden and on this occasion there was three days when we could not.

We had a lovely week staying in Muskoka Lodge.. Very comfortable and very clean with hand santiser and anti-bac spray available for us to use. Off-road parking, 3 bathrooms and your own garden are great bonuses. Ideal location for visiting all the places of interest Somerset offers including Bath, Wells, Cheddar Gorge, Wookey Hole and Glastonbury. Owners are friendly and helpful with suggestions of places to eat and nice walks to do from the property. Only 6 minute walk into Midsomer Norton. We really enjoyed staying in this lovely property.

This is a lovely cottage/lodge with a really homely feeling.. There was plenty of room for us as a family of 5 - 2 adults plus our 15, 12 and 9 year olds. The owners greeted us warmly and provided lots of welcome goodies - milk, tea & coffee, flowers. The property was clean and well furnished. Extras such as hand sanitiser and antibacterial sprays were also provided in response to the additional Covid-19 requirements. The only slight negative for us was that the sofa bed mattress was a little thin for the adults to sleep on comfortably, but our 9 year old was very happy sleeping on it! This is a great base for visiting the many attractions in the local area. Lots of the local takeaways and restaurants were open (post Lockdown) and many were happy to deliver to this Lodge. As we have family living in this area, we will definitely be looking to stay here again.

Comfortable, spacious accommodation conveniently located for exploring this part of Somerset.. Wells, Bath, Frome and Bristol all easily reached by car or by bus (stops minutes walk away). Midsomer Norton itself is a busy working town with plenty of shops, several local pubs including a large Wetherspoons in a tastefully renovated old cinema. The accommodation owners live adjacent up and are helpful, friendly and unobtrusive. Good value for money. The house is situated on a quite busy road and there is some traffic noise, especially upstairs- not a major problem, though light sleepers might employ ear plugs. Thoroughly recommended.

The owners of the house were very nice and welcoming, we arrived and were introduced and was assured that if we needed anything they would be there.. The home was very clean and spacious and we would recommend this to others, friends and family. We had 2 small children with us and our stay was very easy with having such a homely and friendly environment to stay in.

The Lodge was larger than we had expected, was spotlessly clean, well equipt and ideal for our party.. We met the owners who were very friendly and helpful. Its location was as described and was within easy reach of Bath and most of the main tourist areas. There is a good sized tesco nearby so stocking up was simple. We only stayed two nights but would book again if its available next time we are down visiting family.

This cottage was amazing! It had everything we needed. There were no issues pulling out of the driveway and we felt very safe. The home was extremely clean and comfortable. Daren was very helpful and accommodating. We will recommend this home to all our friends who wish to visit the Bath and surrounding areas. Thanks Daren for a lovely stay!

Spacious, comfortable, well appointed and conveniently located cottage.. Welcoming hosts. Access to and from the road was a bit tricky and might deter less skilled/hesitant drivers or those with poor manouvering skills.

Ideal location for touring the area.. Not much in Midsomer Norton, but great dining establishments
Mrs Cope, September 2016
September 2016
The cottage was wonderful-exceeded expectations.. The only negative was access and egress from the property which at times was very difficult. North Road is one of the main routes into Midsomer Norton with fast moving traffic. Turning into the property was at times not easy while leaving it could be a nightmare as high walls at the front of the garden meant there was virtually no vision splay.

In the week we were there we visited Bath, Bristol, Glastonbury, Wells Cheddar Gorge, Frome and Stonehenge.. All are within a 30 miles radius which makes the location of Muskoka lodge absolutely ideal.
