Mole Hill Cottage is a semi detached barn conversion cottage on the edge of the village of Alderholt near to Fordingbridge in Dorset. The cottage sleeps two people and has one double bedroom with an ensuite bathroom and an open plan living area with a fitted kitchen, a dining area and a sitting area. Outside the cottage is off road parking for one car and a private patio with outdoor furniture. Set in the beautiful Dorset countryside, Mole Hill Cottage is an ideal holiday home for a romantic break.

It was nice to arrive and find a vase of freshly cut flowers on the table, milk in the fridge and tea bags etc.. The owners Graham and Belinda live next to the cottage and were friendly, helpful when needed but respected our privacy. The cottage was really clean and very cosy, well furnished and well equipped- even providing a fan for the exceptionally hot weather. The garden was beautiful. So overall it was perfect, with one small complaint from my husband who is over 6 foot tall that the upstairs ceilings were a bit too low in places.

We have just spent a week at Mole Hill cottage the hosts are fantastic. The cottage was beautiful and everything we needed. clean we were well looked after Close to travelling around the New Forest. Made a lot of new friends in Fordingbridge the people were friendly and amazing. Belinda and Graham keep up the good work we definitely will be back

We had a lovely stay at Mole Hill Cottage and a lovely welcome from Belinda.. The grounds are lovely which we strolled around in the sunshine. The cottage was extremely clean and it was one of the best beds we have slept in. The only minor issues were there was no plug socket by the beautiful mirror so drying hair was a slight issue and with the light switch for the bathroom being on the outside wall if needing to use during the night the light woke my husband, if it was on the inside you could shut the door first then turn on the light. These issues did not taint our stay there and we would recommend it to other people.

We had a brilliant week at Mole Hill Cottage.. It is in such a lovely area and very peaceful. You can feel yourself unwind as soon as you arrive. The owners were very welcoming and introduced me to all the sheep which was hilarious, who knew sheep liked a cuddle. The cottage is very well equipped and had everything for our needs including a fan in the bedroom which was great as the weather was warm. As we were active during the day it was a perfect place to retreat to. Nearby in Alderholt there is a well stocked Co-op and if you can catch the Old Mill when it is open then the cream teas are delicious. It is in an ideal area with everything 30-40 mins drive away. We took part in loads of activities and can recommend the riding stables at Burley Villa, cycling with Cycle Experience in Brokenhurst and Insight Activiites (Fordingbridge) for Archery, crossbows and axe throwing!! The New Forest is not far and so beautiful with all the ponies and donkeys. We saw wild deer on our cycling trip. This is a lovely cottage and a great area to stay, and I would definitely recommend it.

Everything was as described ,except for the shower over the bath.. It was plumbed into the bath taps with the spray head close to a sloping ceiling, but we nevertheless managed to use it. Plenty of space, airy ,well furnished and well located cottage in a rural setting - handy for the New Forest and surrounds. The kitchen appliances were good quality and easy to use. We enjoyed our stay and think it was good value for money.

Cottage was in a great location, well equipped and clean, nice space to relax in.. Garden was lovely, enjoyed walking into the farm garden and seeing the wild rabbits in the next field. Bed very comfy and plenty of room for travel cot. Our 14 month old slept like a log too, and she had so much space to crawl around in. Only critique is that hand soap should probably be included but that's only minor. Lovely place. Highly recommend. Booking with sykes was very easy too, so recommend this too!

From the booking process right through to the courteous and professionalism of the property owners, the whole experience on this occasion was flawless and we would hope to be booking again soon.. There were (are) many places within a 1 hours car drive that kept us thoroughly engaged throughout, to a point were we believed that the 7 day stay should have been at least 10 days. As far as Mole Hill cottage itself, and as much as we have appreciated all former dwellings that we have stayed at; the location, owners, along with their willingness to go beyond our expectations makes this one of, if not the best property that we have stayed at within this price bracket. As such we would highly recommend that if this is the area for you (on the edge of the New Forest) then you would be hard pushed to find better.

This cottage was comfortable, no cloth to wash up only a sponge so you could not wipe down properly, there was only 2 tea bags.. Kettle needed descaleing so could not be used, washing machine has mould all around the rubber of the door. There were cobwebs everywhere the cottage looked like it had not been occupied for a while. Owners were lovely. Such a shame as it was a lovely area.

This is a very pleasant, comfortable and very clean cottage.. The location was excellent for visiting The New Forest, coastal resorts and the lovely towns and cities in the surrounding area. This was an extremely enjoyable holiday with the added bonus of wonderful weather.

A great little cottage in Alderholt which is about 20mins from Bournemouth. An excellent location to visit areas in the New Forest and Dorset. The cottage was in good condition, everything you need for a break away for two.

The New Forest is a short drive away as is Salisbury and the South Coast. Beaulieu Palace and motor museum is a highly recommended day out and there are many good circular walks. Had a great night at Weymouth Pavilion watching a show.

We stayed here with our 5 month old son. The cottage has a very spacious lounge with plenty of floor space for playmats and toys, 2 very comfortable sofas, a well equipped kitchen with all you need. The bedroom had enough space for a travel cot and the bed was very comfortable! A well presented, clean and modern cottage in the perfect location to visit all the sights nearby. We had a very enjoyable holiday and the owners couldn't do enough for you. Higy recommended, we would stay here again

The holiday cottage was immaculate and in super condition. For a 1 bed cottage we thought the space was excellent. It is set in a very pretty rural location with much opportunity to seek farm animals and wild life. We found the stay peaceful and the owners were very welcoming and made our stay very pleasant. We've just spent a wonderful week in Dorset, staying at Mole Hill Cottage in Alderholt. The cottage is in a perfect setting, with peace and quiet all around, although we found it to be very easy to travel from here to the various areas we wished to visit during our week. We found the owners to be very helpful and friendly,without being intrusive. The teatray with biscuits was very welcome when we arrived. The cottage is exceptionally well equipped, and was very clean and spacious. The whole week was most enjoyable and relaxing for us, and we would certainly return to Mole Hill Cottage again in the future.

There was a very pleasant outdoor sitting area with views of the large garden. We were in a good location and the accommodation offered us absolutely everything we wanted.. Well kept and clean. It provided us with a wonderful weekend to relax and with our new baby we were able to stay in quite happily in the evenings and enjoy the cottage.
