Mr Blackledge, September 2020
The cottage was wonderful, loved the garden space..
Mr Nicholson, July 2020
A great holiday cottage in a beautiful area close to all the local tourist attractions.. Perfect for two families with teenagers. The games room was a hit. Warm and cosy.
Mrs Kenny, February 2020
We had a lovely week at Millennium Cottage.. It was very spacious and very well kitted out. The children had plenty of room to play, we did venture outside into the gardens, which were extensive, but it was very cold and one of our grandchildren is used to much warmer climates so having the space inside the cottage was great. When we arrived the house was spotless and there was a very generous 'Welcome' pack. The log fire was tremendous and when this was on, we didn't need the heating on. All the bedrooms were of generous proportions and there was plenty of wardrobes and drawers. The washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher were much appreciated additions. The only negative is that the photos show that there is a bath and there isn't, although the written information clearly states that it is two shower rooms, so my fault for not checking, but we managed with the baby bath that was provided as the children were small enough to get in it.
A car is an essential requirement when staying here, as there doesn't appear to be a bus that comes through and there is only a small convenience store and a pub.
Thanks again for a wonderful week, would definitely book again.
Mrs Mills, February 2020
We had a amazing time at this cottage it had everything and more we could ask for and when we arrived we had a welcome basket which was a lovely touch heating on and milk in fridge .. Kids loved games room and the space in house and we cant wait to book back up .
Mr Young, January 2020
Millennium Cottage was absolutely fantastic, perfect for our needs.. Peter was a fantastic host, always available to answer any questions and very accommodating when we requested to extend our stay at short notice. Thank you for a great stay, we will bear Millennium Cottage in mind if we need to stay in the area again.
Mr Cathcart, December 2019
Excellent property.. We would book it again
Comfortable family cottage.. Very central. All the attractions were close by which meant we didn't have far to travel. The cottage is well equipped and the kids enjoyed the games room. There is a large garden which would have been great to use if the weather had been better. You can easily imagine having a glass of wine on a summer evening on the patio. We settled for the log fire. Really enjoyed the cottage and would recommend a stay there.
Good, comfortable, well equipped.. Single beds rather flimsy.
The cottage was spacious, cosy, well equipped and the welcome pack left by the owner was so kind.. The games room outside was brilliant.
Beautiful, clean, quiet, modern cottage with everything you'd expect for a great holiday.. The combined dining area and kitchen was great for socialising around the table.
The beds were all very comfortable - no complaints. The log fire was an added bonus and easy to maintain. The house was actually warm and cosy enough without it but it added to the magic.
The configuration of bedrooms, bathrooms and two sitting rooms proved ideal for our very mixed party of friends and family but would equally adapt to families with kids or elderly and less mobile relatives.
We were there in the middle of winter so we couldn't really take advantage of the outdoor facilities - decking, gardens, bbq etc.
Some nice local walks and lots to do nearby although the local seaside could do with better parking at peak times. (Christmas week for us - and couldn't get near Craster!)
The convenience store in Embleton is friendly and well stocked - unlike the laughable local shop in Christon Bank!
We'll definitely be back in the summer!
It was everything we were hoping for and it far exceeded our expectations..
The accommodation exceeded what is normally expected in a self catering cottage..
Super accommodation - hamper most welcome.. Excellent hosts and we had a lovely time
The ground floor shower was very poor.. I am a bath person but the rest of my family chose to use the shower over the bath, effectively giving us a one bathroom property.
The beds were very comfortable which makes a change for a holiday let and much appreciated.
The sofa and armchair were quite low so my husband had to sit on cushions as he has had a hip replacement 3 years ago.
All in all it was a very good holiday.
I hired the Millennium Cottage for my girlfriends birthday as a surprise with an added surprise that her friends came up & stay.. Was a beautiful place, we loved the games room & the log fire, was lovely just to chill & watch that on a night time.
Thank you so much.
Fantastic house, great communication, lovely location! Just perfect for a big group and we loved the games room! Very clean and the welcome basket was a lovely touch.
Everything was lovely but the crockery needs replacing
The owners were extremely helpful and kind.. My elderly father thought the had left a bag behind and the owners checked the house for us and kept us informed.
The welcome pack provided was excellent. There was something in it for everyone.
The cottage was in a brilliant location for all the major sights.. Must admit the weather made it. Another good thing was the area wasn't overly busy and from the cottage everything was very handy.
We really enjoyed our holiday at Millennium cottage. The home was spacious, great for a big family, with a good games room and piano room for the children and a nice decking area to sit out on during the summer evenings.
The cottage was a fabulous place to stay, especially as the weather was so awful. It is very clean, spacious, comfortable and really well equipped in the kitchen. We will definitely be back.
The cottage was very clean, comfortable and spacious with an attractive garden. It was very well equipped and the wifi was fast and reliable. The cottage was well positioned for all the places we wanted to visit in Northumberland, both on the coast and inland. Overall, this was one of the best cottages we have stayed in.
This is a very nice house for a family holiday. The accommodation is very good with plenty of room and entertainment for children, including an excellent games room with table football, pool table and interactive video games. The location is superb as it is perfectly sited for a host of holiday and tourist attractions, whatever the weather.
Perfect location for our family reunion. The cottage was in a great location, allowing us a central base with which to accomplish so much. The cottage offered a very clean, warm and comfortable home to come back to each evening.
This was an excellent holiday house, standards were well above average. We received a lovely welcome pack, and the property was very well equipped and beautifully clean. Would certainly recommend and return. The area is also lovely with beautiful coastlines and interesting castles.
The property was very spacious, modern and clean, with attention to detail. It also has a beautiful big garden.
This was by far one of the best holiday cottages we have stayed in. It was particularly well suited to our large family group with 3 generations in the party.
This is a great holiday Cottage for a large family as it is very spacious and comfortable. The sizeable garden and games room was particularly appreciated by the younger members. The location is also excellent for exploring the area.
The house was perfect for a 4 generation family holiday. In a perfect setting, in the countryside but very close to the beautiful Embleton Bay. Highlights included sitting on the deck watching the owls hunt at dusk and watching the rabbits play in the field.
The cottage was amazing. As an added, very welcome bonus, the main bedroom had a nursery attached which was perfect for our toddler. The gardens were amazing and this was the best cottage we have stayed at.
Just returned from a fabulous week at Millenium cottage, the description doesn't do it justice. One of the upstairs double rooms has a nursery room attached which was perfect. All the rooms are very spacious and airy.
We loved the outdoor space,, it was so much more than we expected. Loved watching the rabbits in the field at the back.
Brilliant location, Tranquill where you are but only a few miles to fantastic beaches, attractions and shops.
A great base to explore the Northumberland area. Millennium Cottage is spacious and well equipped with particular attention to detail to ensure a very successful holiday home. The accommodation suits all ages but is particularly suitable for children with its large garden, playroom and additional lounge. The information pack is comprehensive and up-to-date. The owner is easily contacted and particularly helpful.
Had lots of space for all the guests, it was lovely having a big dining table in the kitchen as it was sociable whilst cooking.
Great location, friendly locals, lovely walks and plenty to keep the kids entertained.
Excellent property and does what it says on the tin! Very well equipped and the welcome hamper a nice little extra touch. We stayed early November to visit family in Berwick so didn't make full use of the garden which looked lovely and excellent for young children to run around in safely.
We stayed as a couple of just two ( we like space in and around us) and found the cottage to be all that we could ask for. Will definitely stay again next time we are visiting up north.
Excellent location for exploring Northumberland. The property was fantastic and in a nice quite area but close enough to plenty of amenities. Overall made for a great holiday.
Just loved everything about the house, we spent a family holiday there and it provided everything we wanted. In a good location for visiting the surrounding area, the beaches, castles and lovely countryside. It was fun to make our own entertainment in the evening and the games provided made it very competitive. The house had lots of space, would well recommend it and would stay there again.
We are a group of 7 ladies who enjoy walking. The cottage was perfect for our requirements. The kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms were excellent and the decked area in the garden with table and chairs provided an ideal place to relax with a drink after a day's walk.
A nice space for a family gathering and the cottage location meant not too much travelling to get to our favourite places. The children enjoyed the trampoline, garden space and pool table. The owner called to check everything was ok and they left linen for our second week. We hope to return to the property next year.
Excellent in every way, clean, quiet, well equipped. good location for visiting all surrounding areas, shop and pub nearby.Lovely big garden brill for the children in our party
Enjoyed a wonderful holiday this well equipped and spotless cottage with a mixed party. The accommodations flexibility for use by couples and singles was ideal. A car is definitely required to get to the coast unless committed walkers! I hope to visit again in 2015
Excellent location for coast and inland, a beautiful area with many attractions to visit. A spacious, well priced cottage. The teenage grandsons appreciated good WiFi connection, outside space and games room. Enjoyed sitting on the decking area in evening sunshine and made use of BBQ. The generous welcome pack was a thoughtful bonus. A choice of supermarkets nearby and the village shop was adequate for basics. The Cottage was very well equipped and clean.
Excellent well equipped property centrally situated to visit all local attractions and only 10 minutes from the best beach in Northumberland.
The location was excellent and the garden was really good for my 18 month old grandson. He could safely play on the deck and he loved the sheep in the field at the back.
The property was better than expected, location excellent.
Lovely large cottage in a beautiful area, cottage had everything we needed for a group of 7. Excellent large kitchen, bedrooms a good size, comfortable lounge and a handy second lounge too. Garden was great for children to play.
It was a very comfortable house, all of our family enjoyed it. The owner was very helpful and responded promptly to our requests. The surrounding area was beautiful and very unspoilt.
Excellent accommodation in a great location.
The property was a sizeable detached house with plenty of land. We enjoyed the space and privacy. The kitchen was wonderful, utility room well equipped, log burner great fun and very toasty. Overall a lovely holiday home.
The house was very warm and spacious, which added to the overall enjoyment. Looked forward to coming home at night after a day sightseeing and enjoying the area.
House suited all our needs and was very spacious. The owner of the house was very friendly and accommodating.
Millennium Cottage is well-placed in a lovely area, convenient for the beautiful coastline and surrounded by lovely scenery. We will return!
Lovely, spacious property and gardens in an ideal location to discover Northumberland's beaches and attractions.
Well equipped, spacious property with a very big garden. Good location near to a local shop and pub. Within easy reach of all local beaches. Welcome hamper was a nice feature and loved the open fields sheep to the rear of the property.
The hosts were very welcoming and a lovely welcome hamper with goodies. The hoe was spacious and nicely decorated throughout. Inside was suitable for person in wheelchair to get around- however steps up to property. downstair bathroom with shower (not level access)wonderful patio doors on to the decking area at the back of the house overlooking out onto the fields and garden. Lovely kitchen / dining area. Upstairs rooms spacious and again well presented. Downside was the mattresses in the rooms apart from main bedroom were not of good quality. The gardens and games area were a big bonus. Local pub food not great. Good location for exploring surrounding area and nice to come back to a warm house. Had a great time and would go back again.
We liked the wildlife in proximity to the house and the warmth provided by the Rayburn.
We liked the rural, quiet location and the friendly hosts. A perfect location for visiting the local coastline.
