Barnstaple is a coastal town with a market, shops, restaurants and bars, along with two beaches popular with surfers and families. The town is renowned for its floral displays having won a Britain in Bloom award and flowers are found around every corner. Barnstaple lies at the end of the Tarka line railway journey, which takes you through the North Devon countryside of valleys, moorland and a coastline.
