Janet was very friendly and helpful.. We could have done with some guidance on water heating, which we discovered was immersion heater, no problem, just wondered how often to put it on or leave it on.

The owners of the cottage made us very welcome, the setting was lovely and the accommodation, although a bit tired, was very comfortable.. We were a bit appalled to see the difference in the rates charged directly by the owners compared to the rate we were charged by Sykes - the profit margin for Sykes must be in the region of 100%!! I doubt we’ll be booking direct with Sykes again instead we’ll be searching online to see if we can book direct with the owners.

I would not recommend this cottage to anybody it stinks of cigarette smoke it is very dated the beds are hard and uncomfortable .. It has no smoke alarms or C O Alarms present in the property. No complimentary toileterys or grocery’s The shower was very poor. The fridge was old and rusty. It is not up to Sykes normal high standards.
