Area
This charming beach town, sometimes referred to as the "Pearl of Wales on the coasts of Snowdonia," is located only 5 miles from Porthmadog. The town's 13th-century castle, which dominates the skyline and provides spectacular views of Tremadog Bay and the Snowdonia mountains, is perched majestically on a rocky outcrop in the middle of the town. The two beaches will be a delight for anyone who enjoy water sports, and the close proximity to the stunning Snowdonia National Park will leave hikers and bikers with plenty of options. Take a leisurely stroll along the beaches, observe porpoises playing in the surf, or unwind in one of the many taverns, restaurants, or tea rooms while enjoying some of the renowned Cadwalader's ice cream. Other nearby attractions include the gorgeous Italianate gardens at Portmeirion, the Ffestiniog railway in Porthmadog, Harlech Castle, Caernarfon Castle, and the Llyn Peninsula's world-class beaches and golf facilities.
