We had a wonderful week at Lyons Green.. There were 4 adults and 3 children and Ben the dog. The house was very comfortable with plenty of room for us to spread out. The surroundings are very rural and beautiful. The two ponds were lovely with lots of wildlife. The carp are huge. It is a great spot for exploring Norfolk and we managed to get to Cromer, Norwich, Melsop Farm, Sandringham, Swaffham and Kings Lynn. The weather was very kind to us and Jenny was on hand and very helpful. Lots of things in the house for the children to do. We had a nice meal at The Canary and Linnet which is in the village although too far to walk but five minutes by car. I would highly recommend Lyons Green. Anne Marley and family.

We all enjoyed our stay at Lyons Green.. Everything about it was good. Just one point to mention is that it would have been nice if there was a complete board game to play! Just a small point on an otherwise enjoyable holiday. We took our dog and she was amazingly good. She was afraid of the fish in the lake and didn’t want to go near it

Beautiful house, in a lovely, peaceful setting.. Lots of wildlife to be seen. We saw deer, owls, swallows and a heron. Pond teeming with huge fish. We found it was a bit of a trek to everywhere but Norwich was nice, about 40 mins and the park and ride convenient. Lots to see, including the castle museum, cathedral and shops. Our son hired a canoe from the Pub and Paddle for an afternoon and thoroughly enjoyed it. Spent a day on a hire boat on the broads, another 40mins drive, but worth it when we got there. Several nice pubs along the rivers, but found that mooring places are a bit limited. All in all a great holiday house.

What a wonderful week in Norfolk at Lyons Green. From the very friendly and helpful welcome from Jenny, via a spacious and comfortable cottage with virtually every facility imaginable, to catching 50-60lb of carp each day, it was excellent through and through. The large conservatory was a particularly nice space for the 5 of us (aged 90 - 50) to sit, read and watch TV; and the ground floor bedroom and shower for aged parents was one of the necessary features we looked for in a booking. Plenty of birds and wildlife in and around the lakes and the house which added to the whole enjoyment of the visit. A minor downside was that the location meant 30-60 mins drive to get anywhere suitable to take the rather frail parents (country houses, seaside etc.); however, they coped well with the journeying and the days we stayed at the cottage were still most enjoyable. Reading the visitors book this cottage is clearly held in high regard by everyone and there are many examples of repeat visits, and having experienced it for ourselves we can completely understand why.

An exceptional property with plenty of peace and quiet! The pub in the local village was welcoming and well priced for meals. Fishing on the private carp lakes was excellent. An excellent base for exploring with lots of space to spread out and the owner is wonderful, friendly, and full of local information. We will be booking for next year ASAP!

A lovely house in a quiet location. There is plenty of things to do around the area and some nice pubs. It would be lovely for Xmas. The house has everything you could ever want and the owner was most charming and helpful.

The cottage itself has plenty of room, is very comfortable and fully deserves its 5 Star Gold Award. The location of the cottage in Central Norfolk means that it is very convenient for Norwich within 1/2 an hour and the Broads and Coastline within 1 hour.

Good location for days out. Very comfortable house, plenty of room for us (6 adults, baby and dog), garden and lakes well maintained and the fishing was a bonus. Good local pub Canary and Linnet 25 minute walk up the lane, good menu food. Generally excellent place for the kind of holiday that we enjoy. Very quiet and relaxing.

The cottage was in beautiful and remote surroundings, even better than we thought it was going to be! The fishing lake was in close proximity to the property, so my dad didn't have too far to walk to do his fishing, which he loved! We haven't got small children, so it's ideal for older ones, because of the deep water. There was lots of space for us to move about, and it didn't feel that there were 7 of us, as there was so much space in the cottage, it was wonderful, and we didn't want to come home!

A great setting, very tranquil. The house is large and has every amenity that you would expect. 30 minute drive to Norwich, which has many things to offer. There are also many historic market towns to visit, as well as stately homes etc. The Norfolk coastline is exceptionally beautiful and makes for some great walks.

My wife and I along with my 3 children booked this cottage at the last minute for 1 week over the Easter period. The owner met us @ the property and showed us where everything is and so on and left us to it ( perfect communication ). The property has 3 bedrooms upstairs and a further bedroom downstairs. The property has an open fire, modern kitchen and various reception rooms. Clean and tidy but also has old school charm. 3 flat screen TV's to keep the kids happy and wifi to keep my wife happy. The property has 2 large carp lakes so you need to keep an eye on your kids. Its pet friendly although you would not know it because the house is spotless. I would come back again just to experience the Norfolk people.
