An excellent choice for the adventurous, the local area offers a wealth of footpaths and cycle routes as well as caving, abseiling, canoeing and even high wire rope courses. Nearby are Clearwell with its ancient caves and St Briavels with its castle, as well as Dean Heritage Centre and Dean Forest Steam Railway. A short drive will bring you to the historic market town of Ross on Wye, where you will find a wealth of shops, cafes and pubs. Inside, the accommodation is warm and welcoming with exposed beams and stonework. Prepare romantic meals for two in the shaker style kitchen, which contains an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave and washing machine. Stone steps lead down to the lounge/diner where there is a small table and chairs for enjoying meals beside the woodburner, which sits in a large inglenook fireplace.
