Lodge 6 is delightful lodge is situated on the popular Woodlands holiday park, nestled into a wooded valley in the pretty hamlet of Gilfachreda, near to Llanarth and the popular seaside resort of New Quay and can sleep four people in one double bedroom and one twin bedroom, along with a family shower room. The rest of the property consists of an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area. To the outside there is off road parking for one car and an enclosed veranda with furniture. With beaches and walks a short distance away, Lodge 6 is an ideal retreat for a family or friends looking to enjoy a rural retreat yet within easy reach of the seaside.

Accomodation Details
All ground floor (accessed by 3 steps to the front door). Two bedrooms: 1 x double, 1 x 2’6” twin. Shower room with shower, basin and WC. Open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with individually controlled electric radiators and electric fire.

Area
The popular Welsh village of Llanarth is situated close to the Cardigan Bay coast, offering a welcoming pub and a shop, which although small, is very well stocked, and a farm shop/butcher selling local produce. Llanarth is located on the main A487 coast road, which opens up numerable options and places to visit.

Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. From Snowdonia in North Wales to the Brecon Beacons and the Pembrokeshire Coast in the South.

Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, on-site shared coin operated washing machine and tumble dryer, dishwasher, TV with Freeview, DVD, WiFi available on-site. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off road designated parking space for 1 car. Enclosed veranda with furniture. Use of holiday park communal grounds and woodland walk. Three well-behaved dogs welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop ‘The Essential’ & ‘Waggy Tails’ Dog Shop. THE BAR @ Woodlands – popup bar open for monthly events (dogs welcome). Local Shop and pub 0.7 miles. Beach 1.2 miles. Note: Lodge accessed up three steps. Note: Dogs are very welcome in the lodge and on the park and they even have their very own boutique gift shop ‘Waggy Tails’. Please be advised that any dog listed on the banned dogs list under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 is not permitted in the lodge or on the Woodlands Lodge Retreat site at all.

Very nice lodge clean,spacious, needs a little tlc they have changed mattress microwave,fridge since last people were here read their reviews we found it very clean.tidy had a great holiday just what we wanted site is quiet got a lovely bar staff very friendly great bacon rolls. Only downfall no batteries in remotes,blinds in living room broken,was left a note saying vinyl been ordered for wardrobes so are on the up wouldn’t put us off booking again keep up good work owner Recommend. I was disappointed to find that there was no wi fi internet access as advertised.. On finding that there was no connection we enquired at the office and were assured it would be dealt with, but we had no connection for the entire week. This meant that I accrued charges on my phone package and that of my partner. In general the lodge was very good. Sincerely D. R Phillips

We found the site to be very bland.. At some points we were the only people on the site and found that there was no entertainment at all. The people on site seemed very stressed to help. We just felt isolated. So this paticular site we wouldn't return.

Good time had by all.. Lodge was excellent. Home from home. Only two complaints.. think that the double bed would benefit from a new mattress...... and WiFi was definitely off the menu ! will return next year. Woodlands a beautiful picturesque site.

THE PLACE WAS FULL OF SPIDERS WEBS WHICH WE CLEANED MOST OF THEM AWAY THERE MUST HAVE BEEN AT LEAST 15 VERY LARGE SPIDERS THROUGHOUT THE PROPERTY,THERE WERE A FEW BAD STAINS ON THE CARPETS IN THE BEDROOMS WHICH DID NOT LOOK VERY GOOD, WE CUT SHORT THE HOLIDAY BY FOUR DAYS AS THERE WAS A VERY LARGE SPIDER ON THE PILLOWS WHICH MADE OUR DECISION TO LEAVE THE PROPERTY AT 01.. 00AM ON OUR THIRD NIGHT OF OUR STAY AND TRAVELLED BACK HOME ARRIVING HOME AT 03.15AM SO NOT A HAPPY COUPLE BY NO MEANS AND WOULD NOT RETURN TO THIS PROPERY WHICH WAS A SHAME AS LOOKED SO NICE ON THE WEB SITE.

Arrived at just after 3.. 00pm to find the lodge in a filthy condition. I had driven for 4 hours and was hoping for a rest. Rang Sykes and they were very helpful and sorted the situation out, but we had to hang around for 2 hours. Had I not had my granddaughter with us I would have driven home and asked for my money back. Would not stay at this lodge again. As for their being WiFi that’s a laugh. Had booked this lodge partly so that my granddaughter could use her computer no such luck, no internet at all. So all in all not a good holiday would not go there again.

The Lodge was excellent, very clean and well equipped.. The only downside was the double bed which had the springs sticking up making it very uncomfortable.

Very well appointed lodge. Well maintained site so near to Newquay and Aberaeron and yet offering peace and tranquillity. Very helpful staff. Incredibly dog friendly, especially the restaurant/bar where all dogs are not only welcome but also given their own dish of water and treats!! Food was delicious and reasonably priced. We have enjoyed many lodge holidays but this for us was definitely the best yet!! So relaxing and in a beautiful setting We have already booked our next visit for September!

Facilities provided at the lodge were excellent - warm and comfortable.. A very clean and well managed site with very pleasant and helpful staff. Having the restaurant/bar on site is definitely an asset as it offers a variety of options from breakfast to dinner which are in walking distance and very pleasant surroundings. Again the staff were very welcoming and particularly dog friendly! ( Each dog visitor gets their own bowl of water and dish of treats!!) A thoroughly enjoyable break so close to amenities ( Newquay is about 5 minutes away ) and yet far enough to offer peace and tranquillity. We have already booked our next break in September!
