We loved staying here, it was in the middle of nowhere but close enough to towns/the busier places. Perfect combination. We especially loved the wildlife, during our stay we enjoyed sheep, 4 femal pheasants, one male pheasant, a robin and 3 squirrels, along with sheep in the adjoining field, which were lovely to watch whilst cooking. Llecha was well equipped with everything we needed, I don't think we needed anything that wasn't there, the place was clean and tidy and well looked after. We were very thankful of the washing machine and dryer! What a lovely place. I'd also like to give a mention to the owner, Rae, who met us on the road when we were a few minutes away to point out some shops/restaurants to us and show us the best route in and out of the accommodation, which was so helpful. We appreciated the tour too, the information booklet he'd made and that he was on hand should we need his help with anything, we didn't. We had a wonderful stay, thank you!

Great place to stay, nice and remote so very quite. House was plenty big enough for a family of 4 adults and 2 children. Had a great day out at Rhyl which was only around 30 mins away and the Welsh Mountain Zoo is basically on the door step. It really was a home from home with everything you could need and a very helpful owner if you had any questions. Would definitely visit again.

This was a very last minute holiday for us! We stayed for four nights. Our host was very helpful and met us to show us the way! The heating didn’t come on on Xmas morning but this was soon sorted with a phone call to our host! He turned up quickly and sorted the problem! How about that for service! Would recommend indeed!

We had a wonderful holiday and the house was very comfortable for us.. The house comfortably sleeps 8 people but there was only 2 of us so it was extremely spacious and comfortable for us. The views were amazing and the location was so quiet. The house is well placed to visit many of the local attractions. We have been to North Wales several times but on this occasion we visited some places we hadn't in the past. Llandudno was especially nice with plenty to do. We also had a lovely afternoon going on the barge trip at Llangollen followed by a steam train trip. Angelsey, Betws-y-Coed, Llanberis, Bodnant and Beaumaris are within easy reach. The house was well equipped and things like washing up liquid, cloths, bin bags, condiments and handwash was supplied for the kitchen, bathroom and downstairs loo. In previous self catering holidays, we have had to take those things with us. We particularly liked the mixture of modern and old furniture; something to please everyone. Rae, the owner, met us at the property to show us around and to answer any questions we had, which was very helpful. The only slightly negative things were the road up to the property was a single track but it was worth it for the views. The other things were; the en-suite to one of the bedrooms was just a shower and basin so there was only one full bathroom. It was ok for us as there were only 2 of us. I can imagine it would be a bit awkward if there were 8 people sharing the house. There was a downstairs loo which was very useful. I personally, didn't think the garden was suitable for small children as it was quite sloped and a few large steps to get to the garden from the balcony. There was plenty of outside seating and every day we sat outside admiring the views. We would strongly recommend a holiday at Llecha.

July 2019
Llecha is absolutely beautiful with panoramic views, a lovely terrace and garden and a really well-equipped kitchen.. There is plenty of space for six adults (as we were). Rae was really kind and welcoming and even met us at the Shell garage so that we could follow him to the cottage for the first time (as the SatNav sometimes doesn't take you the best way). It is a beautiful part of the country and has the sea, mountains, castles, steam railways, slate mines, gardens, good restaurants and all kinds of activities within easy reach of the cottage (by car). All in all, a really nice place to stay.

We had a lovely time at Llecha, it is a lovely house with everything you need to make your stay comfortable.. The owner Rae made us very wecome and even left us water bottles as it was during the snowy weather we had, a kind touch! We enjoyed the peace and tranquility, the house is very private and rural but only ten minutes from shops and only a short drive to the beaches. We spent time walking in Snowdonia, visiting Conwy, Llandudno and Bwets Y Coed, all within easy drives of Llecha. Would definately recommend.

The location was beautiful and the accommodation was perfect for two families.. It was very well equipped and we had everything we needed. The garden was fantastic for the children with the sandpit an added bonus! It was safe and secure which meant we could sit and relax whilst the children played. The house was spacious and comfortable and felt like a home from home. We would highly recommend this to others and hope to visit again in the future.

August 2016
The owner went out of his way to meet us at an easy meeting point and show us local pub, restaurant etc. It's a 4 bedroom house ideal for 2 families sharing - 2 double rooms and 2 twin rooms - 8 beds altogether. Ensuite shower to one bedroom and family bathroom upstair plus toilet downstair. It's the minimum you need for 8 to be honest but it's quite adequate. Lovely roomy kitchen and sitting room. Large dining table in the dining room plus another good size table in the kitchen. Large smart TV in lounge and 3 other TV's in rooms down stairs. Good games room with bar-football - a hit with the kids. You have all the machines you need - Washing machine, Dryer, Dishwasher etc. But best of all is the location, location, location. Just beautiful. All the rooms have huge windows to see out on to a vale of green patchwork grazing fields mainly full of - you guessed it - sheep ! No neighbours - hardly any traffic down the road. Connectivity - some mobile networks poor but Wi-fi is provided. We had a brilliant 2 weeks here and although you feel for the first couple of times it is too far in the sticks, actually you are only 5 minutes from the motorway of North Wales the Nth Wales Expressway and from there you can be to most of the attractions within 45 minutes max.

We stayed here with our extended family with ages ranging from 29 years to 86 years and all found it to be very comfortable. The facilities and layout of the house allowed us time together but also the ability to "get away" when needed. The location is ideal to explore the delights of Snowdonia. We did a range of activities which were suitable for the weather conditions that we had during our weeks stay. We particularly enjoyed the barge cruise from Llangollen and the narrow gauge railway from Portmadoc. The cable cars in Llandudno are also worth a visit. We would like to say a special thank you to Rae for meeting and guiding us to the property. It was much appreciated. It also helped to have somebody at the house to explain how to operate the various appliances. Thank you Rae.

My group of friends chose to spend New Year at Llecha - it offered a remote location but not too far from civilisation in case we forgot something! There was plenty of space for everyone, both sleeping and relaxing, and with a bit of jigging around we could all sit at the same table. We all had a wonderful time and look forward to planning our next visit.

We had a lovely 'pre-Christmas' weekend family get together. The house had EVERYTHING you could think of. It was clean tidy, had a great kitchen and lovely comfy beds. The house was cosy warm with games/books for children. The views were amazing. It is a bit out of the way - up and down the lanes - but a beautiful house in a lovely setting. Would certainly recommend it, we had a great time.

What a great find Llecha was. As a family of 8 wanting to rent somewhere in North Wales, we decided to rent Llecha. It ended up being a masterstroke. It was close enough to tourist spots but far away to enjoy unspoilt views of the welsh landscape with only sheep for neighbours. The cottage upon first glance didn't seem to be that big, but as you entered it was extremely spacious with 4 good sized bedrooms, a big kitchen (well stocked with utensils and crockery), 2 sitting rooms with stunning views, and a games room with a fantastic table football game. Outside was lots of space for the kids to play in and parking for numerous cars. The owner was really helpful, offering to meet us nearby to guide us through the local journey to Llecha. Really enjoyable place to stay, clean and tidy with colwyn bay, Conwy, etc within 15 miles. Certainly recommended to anyone with a large group (upto 8).

We have stayed as a family three times now at Llecha and its always been lovely. We have six adults and two young children and it is perfect for us in location, size, decor, equiptment and price. We love the privacy and peace without worrying that the noisy boys will disturb neighbours too! Ray, the owner is a smashing chap and makes you feel very welcome, the first time we came he met us and guided us in to the property. There is everything there to make your stay relaxed and easy, a ahome from home. See you next year Ray!

The cottage was well located to explore the whole of the North Wales coastline as well as Anglesey and Snowdonia. It was very well equipped for a family of 7 and the sandpit in the garden went down very well with the three little one's who came on holiday with us. Owners were very helpful and friendly. Very quite rural location, with no immediate neighbouring houses. House clean, comfortable, well equipped and spacious. Gardens quite large and good space for kids to play. Also plenty of car parking space. Rural views from both house and garden are superb. Despite seclude location of the property, Colwyn Bay is only a few minutes drive away and the NE edge of the Snowdonia National Park is about 15 minutes drive

Loved this house. Settled in very quickly. Clean and spacious home, beautiful surroundings. Very well equipped and comfortable. Really pleased with all aspects of booking. The homeowner, Rae, emailed us one week before our check in to suggest meeting us just off the main road to lead us through the narrow (quiet) country roads. Questions regarding the property were answered quickly and concisely, and all details we needed were provided. On arrival we were delighted to find everything & more that we could want for our stay. Kitchen was very well equipped, and thoughtful extras provided throughout the house to enhance our stay. Stairgates, travel cots, toys, games, books, CD's & DVDs, hairdryers, towels, linen & even fairylights on the balcony! Leaflets for local attractions, and even a lovely photobook documenting the history of the cottage. A wonderful base to explore from. Many many local attractions/towns/sights. We visited national trust properties, castles, infamous villages, and many of the 'local' mountains, railways & museums. We would gladly return here as there were so many other attractions that we just didn't have time to see in one week. The location itself is amazing: peace and quiet, and wonderful views and countryside. The furniture is modern and comfortable, we all slept very well! Masses of space for 4 adults and 3 children. Rae, the homeowner is very accessible and helpful. He encourages feedback and portrayed a genuine keen interest in making our stay as close to perfect as possible. This was a wonderful holiday. We could not have wished for anything more on our stay. Totally in-keeping with this holiday home owners helpful attitude, Rae even posted a book and certificate that my daughter had left behind. 100% over and above what we would expect. Would highly recommend this holiday to families.

We enjoyed our stay at Llecha, its such a lovely cottage , lots of room to spread around, with 6 adults and 2 children, plus visitors we still didn`t feel over crowded. There was everything to make use of, its very well equipped. The views from the lounge are lovely, and we saw rabbits and a squirrel in the garden, plus lots of birds. As we didn`t have a Sat Nav, Rae , the owner met us off the A55 and we followed him to the cottage which was very helpful. There are so many lovely places to visit, our favourite being Llandudno, theres so much to see and do there, the tram up the Gt. Orme, is a must.

Our party was two families. (4 adults, 1 eight year old, 2 toddlers and a baby.) Booking through Sykes Cottages was very smooth and the advice they gave was excellent. The owner Rae was very helpful in the lead up to our visit answering all our questions. Rae met us just off the motorway to let us follow him to the property which was a huge help. The house was spotless and far larger than the photos portray. The house is ideal for families as there is a massive lounge, large dining room and a study/playroom along with a very large enclosed garden which our kids loved to run around in. The kitchen is modern and extremely well equipped. The views from the property are amazing and there is lots of wildlife in the garden and in the fields around which was great for the kids to see. Although you feel as if you are in the remote countryside, you are only 3min drive from Colwyn Bay where there are lots of shops etc. The location was also ideal for accessing the whole of the north coast of Wales. Llecha exceeded our expectations and we highly recommend it. P.S. Here are a few tips. Tesco deliver to this house. Llandudno is well worth a visit and there is lots to do. Great swimming pool at the Sun Centre in Rhyl. Cheshire Oaks Outlet Centre isn’t too far away. The local Chinese “The Semaphore Lodge” has amazing food. (20min walk) There are lots of lovely walks in the area.

The owners really cared that their guests had a comfortable stay. They provided all the little extras you don't always get in a holiday let - the essentials, like plenty of toilet rolls, dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid. Things like that really make a difference.

Lovely spacious property for a large family - there was enough space for everyone to be able to do an activity they wanted to do. It was great being in the country, having the wildlife so close to the house - pheasants came into the back garden and lots of wild birds plus sheep were in the neighbouring fields. The kitchen was well equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, ironing board and iron.

The house was a great place for a family to stay, they had everything, even some toys for the children. Close to lots of attractions, shops and restaurants but far enough away to feel away from it all and be quiet when you wanted it to be. We loved the peace! We enjoyed sitting round the big table having meals together. We also received a welcome basket, nice touch.

llecha was a wonderful cottage for a large family group. It is excellently furnished and equipped and is in a beautiful scenic and quiet location. Access to many north Wales attractions is easy and it is an ideal base to explore that region. The cottage itself was very clean and well kept with an enormous amout of space, with two living rooms and a large well equiped kitchen, we took 6 adults and two small children and had no problems at all. the garden is nice too even has some fairly tame visiting pheasants! The owner, a very nice gentleman, went to great lengths to ensure we had all we needed and even called on our last day to see if we had enjoyed our stay. All in all we highly recommend Llecha as a holiday cottage and will certainly return there.

The secluded location was ideal for a large family with noisy children. The location was also great for access to various places in north Wales. The house was in good condition and the owner friendly and helpful. We all loved the place and I'd recommend it to anyone with a large family, or for groups.
