The host was very friendly and welcomed us with food supplies and the kitchen was well stocked.. The house was lovely and the surroundings very peaceful and relaxing - a quintessential farmhouse holiday. We would return again. There was not a tumble dryer but the Rayburn provided excellent drying heat and a rotary dryer in the garden for the fine weather. Dereham and swaffham are short trips away. We stony recome

Little Flint is a cosy and comfortable cottage, really homely and in a fantastic location.. Jenny the owner could not have done any morw to make us welcome, what a fantastic host and genuinely lovely person. My son loves the on site fishing too! We would definitely re-book either of the cottages on site. Great value and ideally placed to visit both inland and coastal locations in Norfolk.

Little Flint is situated in a very private, quiet location, but not too far from local amenities.. The cottage is very clean, comfortable and well equipped. The owner provided a very good welcome pack for our arrival. Would definitely recommend this property to anyone wanting peace and quiet.

The location is idyllic , rural tranquility, views across the countryside, well away from busy roads situated on a private lane.. It is superbly situated for easy access to all of Norfolk centrally located and near Swaffham a beautiful market town well served by shops and supermarkets. The cottage is well appointed, warm, clean and very comfortable. The owner is very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Anyone wanting a complete break from the hustle and bustle can do no better than to visit Little Flint.

Wonderful week at this idyllic cottage in an ideal location for exploring Norfolk. Lovely welcome form the owner, Mrs Mallon and supplies for breakfast included. Cottage was so peaceful with only the owls for company on an evening. Pooch loved the fully enclosed garden so he could run to his heart's content. ideal place to escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, but not far if you wanted shopping in Norwich or adventures in Thetford Forest. Great place to stay and will be looking to come back again.

Lovely cottage, enclosed garden, the owners have thought of everything and all good quality (from frying pans to the soaps etc left for use), 1 mile walk to lovely pub with great food. private from cottage nearby. good fishing (mirror and common carp) on private lake less than a minute walk away. private parking next to house, sun loungers, BBQ, etc in garage where we stored fishing stuff. amazingly comfy beds, Plenty of clothes hanging and drawer space. fresh fruit, milk, bread, butter and eggs on arrival. Owner is lovely despite our over enthusiastic massive puppy. Would highly recommend.

The cottage was so quiet, except for the occasional moo from the cows and calves in the field backing onto the property. I walked for 3 miles and only saw four cars, it was beautiful. Yet close enough to supermarkets in Dereham. The owners were very helpful and friendly.

One of the very best cottages we have stayed in. Very warm with the Rayburn in kitchen and open log fire in sitting room. The owner had left us a very kind welcome pack and was also there to greet us. Little wonder that so many people have returned again and again.

Little Flint is a lovely cottage, very well-equipped and very comfortable. The garden is dog proof which means dog owners can actually relax with doors open. The cottage is surrounded by countryside, very private with views over fields. It is very well-situated for touring Norfolk and parts of Suffolk. I am surprised that it is only 4 star and not 5 star. Would highly recommend this cottage to anyone who likes a quiet, peaceful place to stay.

The view and location, although remote, was beautiful. All you could hear in the morning was bird song and the cows in the field. The house, although old, has been well maintained and is suitably modernised. It still retains that traditional feel though. The addition of a good wifi connection was a bonus. The owner, was very responsive to our requests and did everything possible to make our stay special.

We found Little Flint Cottage to be a great base for exploring East Anglia in mid-March, 2014. The cottage is private and secluded. The nearby Lyons Green Cottage was vacant until the last day of our stay, but is a few hundred feet away and screened by trees, so we were never aware of our neighbors. The cottage is kept warm and cozy by the classic Rayburn cooker in the kitchen, electric heaters in the bedrooms and an open fireplace in the living room. The bedrooms are comfortable with an adjacent bathroom. A shower/laundry room is off the kitchen. In addition to the Rayburn cooker, there is an electric hob and the kitchen provides all the necessary appliances and cookware. All rooms have nice views to the fenced yard and beyond to a pasture. Our hosts welcomed us with breakfast supplies. We enjoyed our stay and would certainly return here if we ever find ourselves in East Anglia again. The McBrides Portland, Oregon, USA
