Amazing location and really lovely property too..

The location of Lisle Combe cottage is wonderful.. To see and hear the sea from the house is so special. The house itself is adequately furnished. There was no DVD player as listed in the description. We would have appreciated a pint of milk on arrival as the nearest shop is quite far away.

This is an extremely attractive location and a very well appointed, spacious and convenient cottage.. There is wonderful walking in the locality. Although close to the road there is no road noise at all, perhaps because the cottage is below the road level and faces a bank. At the front are sea views. The main Lisle Combe house is below but not in any way obtrusive. The cottage has a large and convenient kitchen, separate sitting and dining rooms and three comfortable bedrooms. The living areas are functional and well equipped, the only slight issue iso that the small sitting room is lined with quite uncomfortable sofas (a previous respondent mentioned this and it's quite true, tho not very important ). Highly recommended!

The property is well presented and clean and well equipped.. The owners are very welcoming and helpful This cottage is just right to access the islands south coastal area and not to long a drive to anywhere. We found this cottage the sort of place to feel relaxed in. It may be not so suitable for young children a few steps but the owners have other suitable properties nearby. We had a wonderful break and will return again. Our only criticism is that the sofa is a bit low for an oldie with a dodgy back.

Lovely comfortable cottage, fantastic views.. Only drawback was the logburner not being in use but this did not spoil our holiday as the weather was great.

Could do with a new kettle.. The one in the Cottage spills boiling water all over the place when pouring. Small point, but annoying

The cottage was perfect for myself and the family.. We were attending a wedding at Lisle Combe and layout worked well for us. Very clean, beautiful views, great location and very pretty. I think that the upstairs bedrooms would benefit from some blackout blinds/curtains as children and adults were waking up very early (especially in May when we visited). Other than that we had a wonderful stay in this beautiful area.

This is a fabulous cottage, well situated and great views.. It has a large garden and well set out. A real cottage "feel" to it. Reported couple of issues to owner and cleaner but they were not game changers, a bulb here and there and outside light not working. This was our second trip to Lisle Combe and we loved it despite it almost turning into a ski holiday with the snow. The IOW has great memories for us going back 50 years so we keep going back when we can. Wightlink are tremendous and efficient and travel to the island is simple. We tend to eat out in the evening, no shortage of places to eat and in most places portions are reasonably priced and massive. I find dealing with Sykes is easy and like the balance auto pay facility so I don't need to remember to pay by phone. Great web site. We will return to the island and use Sykes again.

Lisle combe is a lovely little cottage in a good location to explore the island.. It is very well equipped both in the kitchen and also a great range of toys for the kids. The living areas are comfortable and the view over the sea is beautiful. We had a lovely holiday thank you.

Lovely cottage in a beautiful location.. Could do with a new dishwasher and extensive use of a duster but all in all a very nice place to stay.

A traditional old stone detached cottage that retains it's charm with our 21st century requirements, including Wi-Fi.. Sit outside and enjoy the view with the beach and coastal path just 12 minutes away. Enjoyed this October break with great weather on practically the most southernest part of the UK.

In late August 2016 my husband and I were travelling in England with our daughter and 10-yr.. -old grandson. We all live in the Boston area, USA. We had rented a car and took the ferry over from Southampton. We visited friends who live in Godshill on the IOW. Our daughter and grandson loved the privacy of the second-floor bedrooms and bath. We were happy to have the fully-equipped kitchen and dining room, where we ate our breakfast. Our grandson enjoyed watching the satellite tv shows. The view from the south-facing windows were lovely. This was the "quintessential stone English cottage," a really special experience for us. We appreciated the proximity to most of the places we were going to on the island.

This was a lovely stone cottage in a quiet area of Ventnor. The weather was kind and we were able to travel around the island easily by car.

We are cottage people. Lisle Combe Cottage is probably the most authentic cottage, in the true meaning of the word, that we have ever stayed in. It looks and feels like a cottage. It has a great position and location, smashing garden and is easy to find. Ventnor is very nearby, as are the Botanic Gardens, as well as many great pubs, generally serving food all day. The owner was also very welcoming. Excellent.

Adults and kids alike absolutely loved the cottage - especially sitting in the window seat looking out at the sea. It's rare to find a cottage that's been restored so you have good modern facilities while keeping the atmosphere of the old place.

We loved the area and there was so much for us to do with the children. Lisle Combe Cottage gave us a home away from home at the end of our action packed days. We were given a lovely warm welcome which got the entire week off to a lovely start. As my husband and I are shortly moving back to Australia, this was a very special week for us with our son and two little granddaughters - Lisle Combe Cottage gave us that very special time!

Beautiful cottage with gorgeous furnishings and stunning views of the Solent. Arguably the best cottage we have ever rented and we've rented properties all over the UK.
