Lime Tree Cottage is a semi detached cottage located in the Northumberland village of Chatton, just four miles from Wooler. The cottage has one double bedroom, one twin room and a family bathroom, making it suitable for four people. Also in the cottage are a fitted kitchen and a sitting room with a dining area and a wood burning stove. Outside the cottage is off road parking for one car and a small patio with outdoor furniture. Ideal for discovering the glorious Northumberland countryside, Lime Tree Cottage is sure to provide a lovely base for your holiday.

Area
The village of Chatton is in Northumberland and consists of stone built houses surrounding the village green. The village has a shop including a post office, an art gallery and a pub.A short drive will take you to Alnwick Gardens, the Northumberland National Park and the coast.

A very nice cottage in a nice location.. Only one slight niggle, the main bedroom was a bit of a tight squeeze around the bed. I feel that anyone larger than us may struggle to move around it. Other than that one small thing it was an extremely well presented,comfortable and well equipped cottage.

Beautiful cottage.. The owners had clearly thought a lot about making the stay a pleasant one with a range of books, films and even binoculars. The kitchen had a supply of dish washer tablets and detergent for the washing machine, in fact everything you could need. Fantastic welcoming touches too with fresh flowers, milk and wine, crisps and biscuits. Would love to go back sometime and would recommend Lime Tree Cottage to anyone looking for a home from home.

A lovely cottage in a picture perfect location, my only complaint is one made by a previous tenant that the lighting in the living room is not bright enough to read by, the answer is please buy a reading light or standard lamp..

Lime Tree Cottage was superb in every way.. The only, very small, thing that would have made it even better was if there had been some lights in the living room for reading rather than having to rely on the overhead lights. A small thing only!

It's in a lovely peaceful village only disturbed occasionally by the odd tractor.. Buses to Alnwick or Wooler are available but not often. Lime Tree cottage makes a lovely retreat for us from where we live.

Luxurious lovely cottage with everything you could need.. The log burner is fantastic for warming and creating that cottage feel. The starter logs lasted the first evening. We bought more in Alnwick the next day. The heating made the rest of the cottage just as cosy. The beds were comfy and we all slept well both nights. The cottage was so lovely we opted to stay in and spend our weekend laughing and catching up. The kitchen is very well supplied with all utensils and we had everything needed to cook our m&s meal deals on the first evening. The second night we went to the nearby pub which is about 100ft from the cottage. They serve a lovely range of contemporary meals and we all really enjoyed dinner. We all loved the whole weekend and are planning to go back to the cottage next year. No negatives at all from this property or the owner who is lovely and couldn’t have been more helpful.

The cottage was wonderful with everything you could need, it was like a home from home. The location was perfect, about half an hour from most of the places we wanted to visit. The views from the cottage and village were lovely too. The cottage had lots of books, magazines and DVDs, some of which we used in the evening as we had some rain. There are so many fabulous places to visit, as well as the beautiful scenery, peaceful driving and empty sandy beaches. Perfect. We would definitely recommend and use again ourselves. A lovely holiday cottage with lovely locals in the pub.

I was lucky enough to spend three nights at Lime Tree Cottage recently with my boyfriend and it was the perfect getaway from the chaos of London. When we arrived it was windy and cold, and a blizzard started to blow over, but inside we lit the log burner and sat on the leather sofa, drank some wine and felt like the luckiest people on earth. There's no better cosy escape! The cottage has everything you'd need, all the stuff to cook with is right there and spare logs for the fire are just outside. The bedroom is very cute and everything is immaculate and clean. We made friends with the guy in the post office right around the corner, and also had some excellent meals in the Percy Arms - the pub nearby. We drove to Bamburgh and walked along the beach, hit up some more cosy pubs and drove the short drive back to Edinburgh feeling very relaxed and refreshed. Thanks to Mandy who was available throughout via text to answer any questions. We would definitely go back.

This cottage has been one of the best that I have stayed it. It really is very comfortable, warm, cosy and yet contempory. The kitchen is excellent and has everything you could possibly need. The bathroom although downstairs was very chic, warm and spacious. The lounge and dining areas were beautifully furnished to the highest standard. The bookcases were full of interesting things and there were dvd games and binoculars for the natural scientist!! The bedrooms were delightful with lots of lovely touches. I could not recommend this place highly enough. The owners left milk and wine to get us going. The village is really pretty and you can do lots of walking from the house and you are only 25 mins away from the coast and all the beautiful Northumberland beaches. A true gem and will shall return. A very clean and comfortable cottage in a lovely village with a great pub/restaurant 50m up the road. Good walks from the house and Chillingham Castle is just a few miles away. Very handy for the beautiful Northumbrian coast and for long walks in The Cheviots. Warm as toast with the wood fire and everything you would need for a relaxing stay.

Easily one of the best cottages we have experienced well furnished,right down to a wine fridge. Good walking from the doorstop with the coast,Holy Island and the Cheviot's easily accessible Pub and shop in the village.

Very relaxing stay. Great location, and a good base to explore Northumberland. Exceeded expectations, and would definitely recommend! Cragside House is definitely worth a visit; one of the best historic houses ever visited.
