The location was excellent and cottage was well equipped.. However, the overall size of the main bedroom could easily support a 'king size' bed rather than the double bed provided. There was a strong smelling reed diffuser air freshner that was more of an irritant rather than a background neutraliser. We put it in the cupboard whilst we were in house. Apart from that we had a fantastic holiday.

I am sorry to say I thought the cottage was a huge disappointment.. Well positioned for great pubs and bars but the interior was well below standard. Bed linen poor-ready for the bin sorry. Shower and bathroom poor Kitchen basically grubby in places. Whole placecheaply decorated and furnished Tv small ! Blinds dirty/ very dusty. Really such a shame. We felt that we didn’t want to eat in and so spent fortune out at local restaurants. I really feel the cottage was over priced and we should be offered compensation. I have reviewed other properties around us that are holiday let’s and they all seem to be a higher standard for the money. I hope you publish this review.

Very cosy cottage.. Lots of information. Really convenient for shops and restaurants. A nice touch having basics in the cottage eg washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, salt & pepper.

The parking permit wasn't used as spaces available were zero, after 2hrs of looking for a space, we gave up and paid £30,for 7 day's in long stay car park, not ideal, otherwise couldn't fault cottage or location..

Lovely quiet cottage in very central location with great little sun trap area at the back.. Only minor point was no towels provided which would have made it perfect.

Lamb cottage is pleasantly surprising. Being centrally located in expected it to be noisy at some times with passing person etc, however this was not the case. The cottage has all of your home comforts and everything you would need, and it's lovely which (hopefully it doesnt) if it rains in your stay you can have a night in by the lovely log fire. The service from the office is excellent and it's only a stones throw away from the cottage. It is perfectly located for those without a car ( like ourselves) and I would definitely recommend the lamp lighter for food. If you come before the a591 (to keswick) is reopened then I would definitely use the shuttle bus that goes all along the banks of Thirlmere. If your not that good a lighting the stove then Booths sell instant lighting logs and the petrol station nearby sells logs a lot cheaper than Booths (one or two on top of instant lighter log) although having grown up with my grandads open fire I was okay. I would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone.

We arrived at the cottage later than planned due to a very stressful journey, however, it was a pleasure to find it immaculate and welcoming. It is also well placed for shops and resturants etc. Winderemere is spolit for choice when it comes to excellent places to eat! We were lucky inasmuch as we found a parking space to the rear of the cottage, and as most things are within walking distance we didn't need to use the car very much.

just returned from this lovely place, excellent location, couldn't fault the place unlike previous reviews regarding parking, yes you might have to park couple streets away not a big deal as you walk around the whole town in ten minutes, we will recommend to our friends also will we be returning, on arrival found the cottage to be immaculately clean through out, and has every thing needed, we had a great time. Also found a fantastic park at the end of the road for the dog walk every morning.

We booked this 'cottage' (actually a 2 storey terraced house) hoping for a quiet relaxing few days in the Lake District. The house itself if very nice; warm, comfortable and well equipped, with free wi-fi. Unfortunately it is located in the centre of the town and the whole area was absolutely rammed with people whilst we were there. There was no dedicated parking space for the property although we were provided with a visitors parking pass for the surrounding streets. Unfortunately there were insufficient parking spaces for the competing numbers of cars and we were obliged to spend a significant amount of time each evening searching for a place to park. On one occasion we were forced to park over 4 streets away. This was both stressful and irritating. Windermere itself would be a lovely town if it weren't for the crowds of people who cram all the shops, pubs and cafes and Bowness was even worse! If you're looking for a quiet, relaxing break, my advice would be don't stay here.

Lovely two bed cottage in central Windermere, with log burner and comfy couches ideal for those winter days! Kitchen well equiped with plenty storage. Outside there is room to store bikes, and for a small dog to roam around. No parking provided, however we were given a local residents parking disc and easily found a space each day within a street or two of the cottage.

In November we spent a week in Lamb Cottage in Windermere. It was a very comfortable cottage, nice and warm and very well equipped. It was also very convenient for the shops and pubs and eateries. The staff at the office were very helpful and pleasant. Altogether a very enjoyable holiday.
