Tracey the owner, was very friendly, helpful and was about if you needed her.. The lodge was easily spacious enough for 6 adults and was clean and well equipped.
Tha Alpacas, ducks, cats and the assortment of animals were great.
With a on site fishing pond..
All in all, a brilliant stay.

The photos on the website show the lodge in a better light than it's actual situation.. On initial arrival it was disappointing to see it covered in cobwebs and the wooden patio furniture looks 'old' and needs varnishing. The lodge itself is spacious and comfortable and most items are provided although some items could do with updating (kettle/toaster). The bath in the bathroom could do with a shower attachment on the taps so you can wash your hair and a lock on the door would be nice ! Good quiet location even if you can hear the quarry works at times.....not enough to put you off going there. Parking is on a sloping grassed area and it would be nice to have a stoned area provided so no slipping on wet grass ! Access is NOT suitable for the disabled. Overall a great stay there and enjoyed it.

We had a very enjoyable holiday at the lodge.. It's in a lovely setting and, as well as the lake view, the alpacas in the next field were a delight to watch.
Owner's son very helpful in sorting slight problem at beginning of holiday.
An excellent place to stay.

A great location, the lodge is very comfortable and well equipped, peaceful and quiet, the owner is very helpful but does not intrude beyond the first day welcome.. One suggestion to make the stay more comfortable, more towels, bath and hand towels would be desirable, when showering multiple times each day during the hot weather one smallish bath towel each was not really ideal.

The holiday was perfect
From the text giving us directions to the warm greeting on arrival and the friendly goodbye.. The accommodation was amazing and finished to a really high quality and is clearly looked after and kept looking as good as the day it was built. I couldn't fault a single thing and I will be returning again in the future.

We had a fabulous holiday, the log cabin is very large and airy with no expense spared in furnishings and all the little extras that make a holiday that bit special. The owner was great and you can tell she has great pride in her accommodation and this shines through in the quality. It's so nice to find somewhere away from the crowds, cars and artificial lighting. Here you are surrounded by fantastic views and rolling fields, but close enough to the towns and tourist attractions. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting that break away.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The property is in a scenic area, very peaceful and calm, and local to all the places we wanted to visit in Somerset. The owners were very helpful and accommodating. In fact, we were welcomed on a visit to St. John the Baptist Church in Pilton to watch him and his companions play Church bells in the Bell Tower. It was such a treat and made our stay all the more worthwhile.
