Had a brilliant stay, plenty of room to spread about, everything you needed and owners kept in touch which was very helpful.. Would highly recommend we were a mixture of ages from OAP to 6 years and all loved it.

A fantastic holiday home in a great location.. The house is large and spacious, so there was plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the property. It had all of the facilities that we needed and plenty of appliances and utensils for us to cook/clean etc. The owners kept in touch with us before, during and after our stay and were very pleasant. The drive into the Brecon Beacons from here was very nice and the property is situated in an ideal location to explore Cardiff/Swansea and the surrounding coastline too. I would highly recommend this.

Lack of chairs throughout house, including in the living room.. 3 of the dining chairs that were present, were broken! Poor kitchen equipment - eg a very small 2 x slice toaster, for 8 adults! Only one medium sized kettle. The light bulb above the cooker had blown, making life difficult. Generally, the lighting in the place needs attention - probably one third of the light bulbs had blown/didn't work.. Woefully inadequately sized fridge, and it had broken/missing shelves inside it. We had to ask for a quilt to be supplied for one of the beds, and also 3 extra towels were required. An accumulation of dust under the beds, etc. The venetian blinds throughout the house looked like they had not been cleaned in years. There was no bath mat in the en suite bathroom. Garden poorly maintained, the garden furniture well past their useful working life, and the decking around the back was rotting in places. This was advertised as a 'luxury cottage', and it probably was 10 years ago. It is no longer.

Lovely cottage in relation to space & supplies such as crockery, cutlery etc.. Beds: some were comfortable but the double room downstairs & one of the twins had metal beds with thin, lumpy mattresses on them. Also small things such as nowhere to hang the towel in the downstairs toilet. Outside, the decking needs urgent attention with areas that have gone spongy & other places where the wood has raised making a trip hazard. The grass has been cut in places & then left on the ground. It just needs some TLC to bring it up to the 5 star standard it could be.

The house is elegant, spacious, warm and well appointed. We loved the open plan kitchen/dining area/lounge arrangement, with the separate cosy sitting room. It was ideal for our family of 10 spread over 3 generations. The location was ideal - near enough to a (quiet) A-road to provide good access to the Brecons, and so that we didn't worry about the prospect of snow.

The house was a lovely base for us to explore the Brecon Beacons and visit Cardiff. The facilities are excellent and lots of space. A very well appointed house and we would highly recommend it to others.

We had booked as a large group for a surprise birthday. Sykes the booking agent were not particularly helpful, especially regarding accessing the key! The cottage stated it would sleep 12 and we had booked for 11. On arrival it was apparent there were not enough beds never mind crockery and cutlery. The oven was filthy and dishwasher smelly. The cleaner obviously doesn't do much cleaning!! The bedrooms were not particularly clean -piles of hair under the beds...also watch the floor lights upstairs - 2 people burnt their feet. All I can say is it did for the weekend but for any longer - no thanks

Although on first look this house seemed pleasant, but it hadn't been cleaned. We found the sheets to be soiled (god knows what with) and stained, the fridge and oven dirty,3 of the beds broken or about to collapse and even the locks on the bathrooms broken! Some aspects were dangerous, such as screws sticking out of the floor. This house was in a lovely position and could have been ideal for a group of 9 adults if they had had adequate towels, enough seats around the table and large saucepans that had handles so we could cook for 9. It seemed that the owners did not care about their guests and wanted to get money by providing everything as cheaply as possible. My advice - make sure you have a tool kit with you! And take your own saucepans.

We loved being right in the Brecon Beacons - easy routes further in and to other nearby villages/towns. The property was just what we needed with plenty of space for all of us.

The size of the property, the location, the cleanliness and the availability of bedding. The kitchen diner was large and served as a good central hub. There was also a large dining table for everyone to sit at. The cooker is a large range master and we didn't have a problem cooking for 10 people.

A very quiet area, which is just what we wanted. A lovely cottage that is very roomy with everything we could possibly need. The welcome package was a nice touch. Although the cottage is next to a main road there was no noise or disturbance from traffic.
