Self-Catering Holiday Cottage Southampton

House in Hampshire in Southampton, Hampshire

House in Hampshire Self-Catering

This charming character cottage is set within a historic terrace in the heart of Ringwood. This pretty waterside town has a good selection of pubs, shops, and cafes, providing the perfect spot for lazy afternoons. Located on the western edge of the New Forest National Park, endless walking and cycling routes can be found close by, making the most of the stunning landscape that this area is known for. Head south to the coast where there are stretches of sandy beach to explore at Bournemouth and Mudeford. This property is also ideally placed for touring, being close to the Dorset border. Popular destinations within reach include Moors Valley Country Park, Burley, Beaulieu and Cranborne Chase. A short path leads you to the entrance door, which opens into the welcoming lounge area with a Smart TV and a wood burner. This striking open plan space next offers a comfortable area to dine before leading into the well equipped and stylish kitchen. There is everything you need to prepare home cooked meals here, including an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. Taking the winding cottage style stairs to the first floor, you can choose between the two pretty bedrooms: the first, a cosy double with views of the water meadows, and the second, also a double, this time overlooking the green. The bedrooms share the fabulous contemporary shower room, which has a shower and WC. Heading outside from the kitchen area via the patio doors will take you into the garden. This is a particular feature as it backs on to the millstream, with wonderful views across the water and the Avon Valley. There is direct access to the river if you wish to explore using a kayak or paddleboard. The garden has areas of artificial lawn as well as a seating space where you can enjoy a sundowner and listen to the peaceful sights and sounds. The garden is not enclosed, therefore care should be taken with children. There is ample roadside parking to the front of the property (subject to availability).
