The centre of Coniston is just down the road (within a quarter of a mile), where you will find the village s famous Ruskin Museum and a choice of welcoming pubs and independent shops. You can take a steam cruise across Coniston Water, one of the Lake District s most beautiful spots. This is a great location for a variety of water sports including kayaking, paddleboarding, sailing and motor boating. Beatrix Potter lived in the nearby village of Hawkshead (4 miles), and you can visit her home at Hill Top (6.5 miles). Local attractions for walkers, cyclists and nature lovers, include the Old Man of Coniston (1 mile) and Grizedale Forest (7 miles), with the magnificent Windermere to the east (7.5 miles). On entering this attractive property there are two lounges to choose from, ensuring there s plenty of space for everybody to relax. The first lounge features plenty of seating, a cosy wood burner and a TV, while the second lounge has a gas fire and space to unwind, chat or catch up with a good book. Exploring further, the stylish kitchen is equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, coffee maker, washing machine and dishwasher. The separate dining room with seating for 20 guests provides a wonderful space for you to all gather and share a celebratory meal. The first of the property s ten tastefully decorated and restful bedrooms is also on the ground floor: a delightful twin room. The ground floor also features a useful games room with traditional slate flooring and a snooker table. At the far end of the house, a spiral staircase leads up to a secluded first floor king size bedroom with its own shower room. The principal staircase from the ground floor leads to the main first floor where you will find the remaining bedrooms. There are six double bedrooms three with en suite showers and two with showers and sinks in the room, as well as two twin rooms one with an en suite shower. This floor also has a separate shower room, a separate WC and a family bathroom complete with bath and WC. Heading outside, the large back garden features a lawn with outdoor furniture providing an ideal space for children to play or for adults to enjoy a glass of wine in the evening. There s also ample parking to the front of the property.
