We stayed with our children who are 2 and 6 for a fortnight and it was perfect.. They loved the shared garden and spotting the cattle, sheep and tractor around the cottages. The drying room was brilliant for drying wet walking and beach gear. Carole and Ian also kindly provided a washing basket and use of their washing line and pegs (there was also a clothes maiden in the cottage). I was a little apprehensive about the kitchen which was small but this contained all the utensils you’d need and more. We self-catered most nights and had everything we needed. The cottage was cosy and warm with limitless hot water and decent showers- perfect after a day of walking or beaching. We loved the map room which contained a comprehensive selection of maps, leaflets, books and magazines. Marked-up OS maps for use during the stay were also really handy. Ian and Carole were also able to give lots of I deas and information about things to do in the area. They were welcoming without being overfacing. The countryside around the cottage is beautiful with lots of walks from the house or a short drive away whilst lots of beautiful beaches and coastline is also close by. You will need a vehicle to stay here. I can’t recommend this cottage enough! Thanks to Ian and Carole for your hospitality.

Such a lovely warm welcome from the hosts, Ian and Carol, as well as a warm cosy cottage.. Ian and Carol explained how everything worked then left us to it, whilst being available if needed. The setting was very peaceful and relaxing. The cottage was very comfortable, well laid out and equipped with all we needed. Internet broadband very efficient. We had a great time and couldn't fault it. A big thank you to Ian and Carol.

The owners were extremely helpful and should be commended for their personal touch.. . It was useful to know that there was a farmtrack to the cottage The roads are narrow until you get to Newport or fishguard . This IS rural Pembrokeshire for people who hadn't quite realised it.

The cottage was very well presented and perfectly suited to our needs as a family with 2 small children. It is also very well situated in a very peaceful rural location but only a few miles from town and beaches. We would definitely recommend the cottage to family and friends and would stay here again ourselves.

If you are looking for a remote cottage in a very rural location then this is the place for you. It is a reasonable drive to the nearest town along narrow windy lanes. The cottage is a good size, well equipped and recently refurbished at the time. The internet was slow at times but fibre-optic cable has now reached the adjoining road so this will probably be remedied soon. There was no mobile phone coverage on our network but the owners were happy for us to make use of their landline to book local amenities. The owners were very kind and helpful and knew a great deal about the local area. They were able to provide maps, guide books and other documentation to help make the most of your time there. The cottage is located amongst actively farmed land but this did not cause us any problems in terms of noise, smell or access. There were cows in the field to one side and next to that the farmer had tractor operating but none of this caused us any trouble. The whole environment around the cottage was very relaxing making it an ideal holiday destination. You will need transport to get to any of the local places of interest. Although it was busy at some of the more popular venues it was quieter than Cornwall at the same time of year.
