Honey House is a detached little cottage in the grounds of an old mill house in the Devon hamlet of Combebow. The cottage sleeps four people in two bedrooms, a double and a twin, with a downstairs family bathroom. On the ground level is an open plan living space with seating area, dining area and kitchen. Outside is an enclosed garden with barbecue and outdoor furniture, as well as 54 acres of the owners’ meadows and woods to wander. Honey House is a magical place for a peaceful break in Devon.

Two bedrooms: 1 x double, 1 x twin. Ground floor bathroom with bath, shower over, WC, basin. Open plan living space with seating area, dining area and kitchen.

Area
Lifton is a small village in the upper Tamar Valley, close to Launceston and the passing A30 road into Cornwall. This pretty community, once sitting astride the old A30 London to Penzance trunk road, is blessed with a village shop and post office, a superb pub and 3 top quality restaurants.

Region
Devon, with its quiet country lanes, patchwork of lush green fields and sleepy villages is not to be missed. Stately home lovers will be spoiled and why not finish with a scrumptious Devonshire cream tea?

Honey House is just perfect.. Second time visiting for us and was even more beautiful than we remembered. Ideally situated for exploring Devon and Cornwall and always lovely to come home to at the end of the day. The cosy cottage itself is very well equipped with everything you might need and Richard is always available should you need him. He really is the perfect host. The gardens and water mill are just the extra bonus that really do make Honey House a cut above the rest. Already planning our next trip.

This is an excellent holiday cottage with every thing you need.. An ideal perfect setting in the owners grounds. Richard, the owner, is a lovely, pleasant and cheerful man who is happy to chat. He keeps the grounds and Honey House immaculate. Jessie the Labrador is also more than happy to play and brightened my day. A wonderful relaxing and enjoyable week. I would recommend this cottage to anyone.

Another blissful week spent at The Honey House and not a cloud in the sky, which gave us plenty of time to enjoy the beautifully kept gardens, and explore the woods and river for wildlife.. The cottage is immaculate with everything you need, and you feel instantly relaxed as soon as you arrive. With the added little extra's left by the host and attention to detail, you soon realise how welcoming this property is. Honey House was idyllic.. The house itself was very well equipped and had everything we needed when we arrived plus nice extras like flowers on the table and cakes to have with a cup of tea. Our host was charming and ensured that we had everything we needed. The garden and grounds were delightful and we were welcome to wander in them and in the woodlands behind the cottage. We were there for three weeks and had fresh linen and towels each weekend. Richard was around if we needed him and was working in the grounds most days but never imposed himself. Altogether a perfect holiday in a wonderful area for walking or driving or just being at peace.
