This was by far the best place we've ever stayed.. Sally Ann (the owner) went out of her way to welcome us and make us feel right at home. She couldn't do enough for us. The village is small with a few shops, but there is a nice park for the kids in Eggleston, plenty of shops and cafes in Barnard Castle and amazing walks and waterfalls nearby. The highlight of the holiday was being in the country looking out over the fields each morning and collecting fresh eggs from the chickens on the farm. Can't wait to go again!
