Whitby is a popular seaside town resting at the mouth of the River Esk in North Yorkshire. Whitby boasts winding streets and hidden alleys, with a range of shops, restaurants and pubs to choose from, as well as a picturesque harbour and lighthouse, whale watching and coastal cruises, the famous 199 steps to Whitby Abbey and the Captain Cook Memorial Museum, while the magnificent North York Moors National Park and several Blue Flag beaches within easy reach.
