Lovely lodge in a really nice quiet location next to a lake.. The place felt new and had high quality fittings and appliances. Had everything we needed. Felt luxurious. Only four lodges altogether. A verandah and a picnic table by the water for each. Lovely to walk round the lake and watch the birds.

Lovely little holiday lodge - we stayed for a long weekend as we were down for a wedding.. When we arrived the lodge was spotlessly clean and had all the facilities to make our stay comfortable. Storm Dennis managed to knock out the satellite connection on our first night, this wasn’t able to be fixed till the Monday, but we weren’t too bothered as we were out for a wedding and didn’t intend to be watching too much tv anyway, just would have been useful to keep our 1year old occupied when we were getting ready. But nothing you can do when Mother Nature flexes her muscles sometimes. Beautiful location on the lake, the only thing that could have been better was the weather!

The Harvester lodge holiday was great.. Nice accommodation well located and peaceful surroundings . The geese were fun but would have been concerned if we had children under 5years. Although accommodation met our expectations the property was showing signs of tiredness. Decking was in need of a clean and restrain, lock on bathroom door missing, shower heads needed a descale and the bathroom sink would not hold water due to a perished washer. All minor things but the difference between ‘good and ‘outstanding’ is always the little things.

The Lodge was exactly as described and photographed.. Although we failed to get the welcome email from the owners, a phone call from me sorted out the easy key collection. The only criticism about the cleanliness was the dishwasher still had dirty dishes etc in it and the cutlery drawer tray needed a wash out, so the cutlery was put through the dishwasher. A very minor blip. The master bedroom was a good size and the en-suite just right, as was the family bathroom. We found the other 2 bed rooms quite small and so were the single beds, fine for children but a tight squeeze for adults and we were 4 adults and one child. Every thing worked that we used and it was quiet and peaceful. A lovely view of the lake from the living area which even the unfortunate wet weather did not spoil. We would definitely recommend this Lodge to other families.

We were all very impressed with the accommodation. All of the rooms are exactly as described and the whole place was spotlessly clean on our arrival. The 4 lodges were all let while we were there but the whole site was very quiet and tranquil. Our neighbour in the next lodge enjoyed some very successful fishing sessions catching several double figure carp There are just a couple of very minor minus points. There is no dvd player and so we took an old one from home but it is a bit of a pain to plug in a scart lead to the back of the TV. The resident geese are quite a pair of characters noisy and bossy. OK with adults but our 6 year old twins were very scared of them.. On the approach track you pass a semi derelict poly tunnel and ancient caravan which detracts from what is otherwise a delightful and idyllic location. We would heartily recommend the lodge to others but we have seen enough of this area so will not return.

Those Geese! Mentioned by many people in the comments book. They are no problem to adults but our twin 6 year old granddaughters were quite scared of them and would come in if they were around.

A beautiful cottage set in a tranquil setting, it has everything you need, it's "home from home" the weather wasn't kind to us so ended up going out and buying a DVD player so we could watch some films.. This was the only thing missing from this lodge.. it was beautiful and the owner was lovely and very helpful. Would definitely revisit and recommend to family & friends

The Lodge was very clean roomy and comfortable and was located in a great area for touring around North Somerset. There was plenty of room for parking more than one vehicle if required.
