Lovely, cosy well appointed lodge on a quiet site in a nice village which is pretty much central to most sightseeing places, beaches etc.. , and you could even pop to Edinburgh on the train from Morpeth. We took the park and ride into Newcastle at Great Park which was reasonably priced and took us into the centre. The return bus is stand R in the bus station. There is a play area and laundry facilities on site and bin day is on a Friday (which we hadn’t realised until too late!)

What a fabulous cabin with all the home comforts.. Cannot say enough about the place it was just great. We wanted a quiet week away with the dogs and that's what we got. All the villages nearby are friendly and love dogs. It was just heaven not having to worry about them. Not detracting from the cabin it had everything and more. Would love to visit again

Yes. I was unable to lock the cabin door due to a very strange lock so was having to leave it unlocked whenever I went out.. A male holiday maker over from Ireland came to help me on the THURSDAY but also gave up. I finally managed to lock it when leaving but have no idea how I did it. Everything was satisfactory.

We visited last year and were disappointed with the condition of the property.. The kitchen sink needed replacing, one of the kitchen draws was broken and in general it needed bringing up to an acceptable standard for letting. On arrival the dustbin was not only full but overflowing and I’m not sure there was a dustbin per Lodge. The setting was good but this Lodge was not as nicely presented as the one next door which had obviously been refurbished. I’m sorry but would not recommend unless the owners have refurbished.

No internet in property, so if you want that you'll have to use your phone's data.. BUT: poor coverage in the area where the cabin is. Using our devices we found the signal to be as follows: EE: 3G, 1 bar O2: 3g, 2 bars (south side of cabin, 1 bar elsewhere or EDGE) Three: 4g, 3 bars Vodafone: unknown. So if you're planning on tethering or accessing the internet in the cabin at all, I'd strongly recommend a Three sim with all-you-can-eat data, in a phone or ipad you can tether from. Failing that, O2 is a good backup. The annoying thing is, just a few more metres south (i.e. still in Fram Park) I was getting 4G with O2! Of course if you want to disconnect from the web completely then this is the cabin for you. It was truly lovely inside.

More up to date leaflets please, and as we had dogs could have done with local dog walks We did not really find them until later in the week, such as a lovely walk along the river coquet at rothbury.. however we had a lovely time.

Very good property - with everything thought about and considered.. First shower we had encountered on holiday which was safe enough for my elderly mother to use without assistance with easy taps and a non slippy floor, and doors which are easily operated. Variety of pans and cooking utensils - we cooked happily in the knowledge that everything was there. Minor point - the kitchen taps were a bit stiff! Sofa bed 'not suitable for adults' apparently - so I did not use it..not sure why. There is a green bin so I put recycling in there and had to ask about other waste. It transpires that it all goes in the green bin! - a note to this effect might be useful. There is a local mini spa which might worth advertising Both local pubs had excellent and well priced food. Gem of a local village store as well. Longframlington was an ace 'shot in the dark' for us looking for somewhere well positioned for things to do. I feel the property could be 'pushed' a bit more in terms of singing its location praises - as well as its own facilities.

Very comfortable cabin.. The owners had thought of everything in our opinion. There was even seed to put in the bird feeder on the window! Great holiday.

Reported leaking roof end of first week, still waiting on someone coming to look at it.. Apart from general update of furniture and kitchen equipment, which is in the progress of being done we enjoyed the relaxation.
