The living areas in the property consist of a first-floor, open-plan living space with a kitchen equipped with an electric double oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher, a dining area with seating for four, and a sitting room with a Smart TV, selection of books and woodburning stove. There is a separate utility at the entrance with a washing machine and tumble dryer. The bedrooms include two ground-floor king-size, one of which has an en-suite shower room, and a second-floor single in the attic, along with a ground-floor bathroom. Within 0.5 miles, you will find a shop, and within 0.1, a pub. One well-behaved pet is welcome, however please note that smoking is not permitted. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. Guardswood Cottage is a characterful base for a family of five or two couples to explore the Lake District National Park. Note: The second-floor single bedroom is in the attic with sloped ceilings, please take care.

Coniston, located at the top of Coniston Water, is surrounded by some of the most spectacular scenery in the Lake District National Park. An excellent travelling base, Hawkshead, Ambleside, Windermere, and Grasmere all within a short drive. Locally, Coniston Old Man and Wetherlam, as well as the wonderful forest paths in Grizedale Forest, offer excellent walking, mountain biking, and climbing opportunities. The tranquil lake is suitable for dinghy sailing and canoeing for watersports enthusiasts, while the less energetic can take a leisurely trip on the elegant steam boat.
