Grasmere is a detached wooden lodge in a secluded location near to Greenodd in the Lake District. The lodge sleeps three people and has one double bedroom, a single and a shower room. There is also an open plan living area with a kitchen, a dining area and a sitting area. Outside is off road parking, a private decked area and shared grounds. Perfect for discovering the beauty of the Lake District National Park, Grasmere is a lovely romantic retreat. Note: Although all ground floor, there are external steps up to the lodge and a 35 metre walk along a gravel path. Note - this property is not suitable for anyone in a wheelchair.

All ground floor. Two bedrooms: 1 x double, 1 x single. Shower room with shower, basin and WC. Open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area.

Area
Greenodd rests on the estuary of Carmel Sands on the borders of the Lake District National Park. Once an 18th Century shipbuilding centre and a significant commercial port, Greenodd today has a selection of shops and the local pub. The town of Ulverston is just 3 miles away and boasts a wide range of shops, pubs and leisure facilities.

Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.

We enjoyed our stay in Grasmere so much that we have booked to visit again in the spring.. The lodge is in a lovely peaceful setting with fine views of the garden and hillside from all the windows. Although up a very quiet lane (which suited us fine) you soon access the route towards Coniston, and the A590 is a few minutes away at Greenodd. We were able to walk in the hills in the mornings and visit the estuaries and coast in the afternoon. The accommodation was warm, comfortable and well equipped with good quality bed linen and towels.

It was a wonderful place for anyone like us who are looking for some peace and a connection with nature.. The cabin is set away from any traffic and is well maintained ,as are the grounds.A car or bike is necessary to reach the nearest village which is about a mile away.There is no foot paths to walk on.This is no fault of the premises and did not affect our wonderful holiday.thank you also for your support and updates.

For over £100 per night there was no tea coffee making kit , no hot tub , heating did not come on untill middle of the night No vouchers .. No better than a caravan to be honest . That is far cheaper to hire

The cabin was idealic , the area around it was stunning.. My 2 friends and i sat on the veranda most of the weekend just listening to the wildlife and watching the birds hop from tree to tree right in front of us or looking at the beautiful scenery that changed every hour. Just when you thought it couldnt get any better you would spot a deer on the edge of the forest litterally right in front of you. We got there on friday night and booked for same time next year on saturday while we were there. Thats how much we all adored it. I think between us we took a thousand photos as we wanted to remember all of that stunningly beautiful weekend.

The chalet is utterly delightful, we love the way it was situated in a private and secluded setting, surrounded by trees.. We watched rabbits and squirrels from the kitchen window every morning, and on the last day there was a deer there as well. Even on the first, appallingly wet day, with biblical rain, it was a pleasure just to be in this lovely setting, warm and cosy, watching the rain sheet down. We will definitely return to this chalet!

Grasmere the log cabin is in a beautiful location, the wildlife has to be seen.. You feel like you have been transported to a different planet, It's a must to stay there if you are looking for escapism from towns and cities. A most enjoyable holiday thankyou

The place was lovely and very clean and was well equipped.. The internet was very slow. I was disappointed as we didn't receive any welcome and introductory information. We were only told off by Mrs Campbell for parking in a wrong spot and for my children running around the garden. Wonder if a smile came at some extra cost, she was very grumpy. Apart from that it was a great spot and I would recommend the place to a friend.

A lovely log cabin in wonderful grounds. It was so quiet, with just the sounds of the birds. It has everything you would need for a stay here and the WiFi, although not essential, was a bonus for us. We would stay here again.

Three friends spent a lovely time in this lodge for the long Easter weekend. Fabulous location set amongst peaceful gardens. Plenty of space in the lodge for three adults. Owner provided a convector heater on the first night as the previous people had turned the heating off. Not well supplied with equipment i.e. no hairdryer; lacking some basic kitchen equipment; cooker did not appear to work properly; seating both in and out only for two people. Shower door nearly off rail so needed very careful opening/closing! Double bed had stains on mattress.

The setting for the lodge was beautiful and very peaceful. The two pubs in Spark Bridge are very good and just within walking distance. Easy to set off walking in any direction with an ordnance survey map. Perfect break to get away from it all.
