It was a very authentic experience.. We were transported back in time to a simpler time. With little to do (because of the rain) but relax we came back a lot more rested. I would definitely recommend upgrading the mattresses and adding some cushions though. Other than that we had a lovely time.

Heat and electric were coin op, these should be included in the price of the stay as the electric went out on 9am of the day of our 11am check and we had to pack by flashlight, not great also airbnb is waaaay ahead of you guys in hospitality, we stayed at a similar cottage and it had a TV, free scones and a bottle of wine, the host set the heating before he left and gave us a tour, your place had the keys left in the door, 1 firestarter that didn't do the trick because the peat wasn't dry (so I had to run to the station before it closed) and he coin op heat only took 1 euro coins, no cards or other currency not a great way to start a holiday and really lost me points with the missus, get your act together guys, its a beautiful location, just include the heat and electricity and increase the price the extra tenner

Granny Kate's is a rustic cottage, and we very much enjoyed the period environment in the sitting room. We also appreciated the updated, finishing and furnishings of the bedroom. Made for a very comfortable overall stay. This lived up exactly to our expectations!
