Outside is nearby permit parking and a west-facing veranda with table, chairs, large sun decked terrace, and picnic table. Goronwy Cottage offers a wonderful base in North Wales. Note: This property is over three floors in an elevated position in old Barmouth, with 45 steps up to the property and some low doorways. Due to its age and nature, stairs are a little steeper and narrower than normal. Note: There is no vehicle access to the property, so it is not suitable for those with mobility issues. Note: No stag/hen parties.

Barmouth is surrounded by the the Snowdonia National Park, a traditional seaside town with a large, sandy Blue Flag beach, perfect for families. A variety of shops, pubs and restaurants combined with the mild climate, make this an ideal destination for a holiday, even out of season. There is plenty for walkers, climbers and cyclists, with Mount Cader Idris nearby. An abundance of wildlife along the Mawddach Estuary, trout fishing in mountain lakes, Harlech Castle, St David’s golf course and Portmeirion Italianate village are among some of the best attractions in the area.
