Gordon's View is a detached property near Gloucester. With a double bedroom, ground floor shower room, this property sleeps up to two people comfortably. There is also a kitchen with pantry, a utility room, dining room and ground floor sitting room with woodburner plus a first floor small sitting room with doors to garden.Outside is a small front garden and a large, steep back garden with far-reaching views. With off road parking and great links to the surrounding areas, Gordon's View is a great holiday cottage. Note: Young children need to be supervised in the steep back garden. Please note this property has a maximum occupancy of two people.

One first floor double bedroom. First floor bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC (access via small sitting room). Ground floor shower room with shower, basin and WC. Fitted kitchen with pantry. Utility. Dining room. Ground floor sitting room with woodburning stove. First floor small sitting room with doors to garden.

Area
Pleasant Stile is a lovely hamlet on the edge of the Royal Forest of Dean, and is just a short drive from Gloucester.

Clean, well equipped and comfortable cottage with amazing views.. Had all we needed for the week and was a great base to explore the area. We didn’t have any problems at all but it might be worth noting for others that there are stairs up to the front of the property and the ones inside to the upstairs are quite steep so you need to take a bit of care! We would like to return here to explore the area more fully without the current pandemic and its necessary restrictions.

The location of Gordons View close to the main A48 road and the excellent access to the Forest of Dean with plenty of good local amenitys makes this a very good place to stay at any time of year .. The cottage itself is very warm and comfortable with great views and would highly recommend it to anyone who has not visited this area before .

Another lovely week spent in this warm and comfortable cottage which is always very clean and well presented , this was our fourth visit and we shall be returning in the summer, if all the above is not enough the view is amazing ! !!!

Cottage has an outstanding location, the view is a knock out! Nearby parking a huge bonus, the car was a must for getting around locally. Cottage had everything we needed, very much hope to book it again in the future.

I think the best parts of our stay were the tremendous views from the property, the cleanliness of the cottage and the care taken over explaining every aspect of the property and use of the appliances inside.. Everything seemed to be prepared just perfectly for us.

Gordon's view cottage was a complete delight to stay in, from the fresh flowers and tea tray on arriving to discovering how perfectly clean and well equip it was, their was nothing not provided, sitting in the pretty garden admiring the stunning view was a complete tonic, we could not recommend this place enough..

Cottage facilities were very good and it was spotless.. nice having two bathrooms! Lots of visitor attraction information, books, videos etc. TV, Video recorder etc was better than some other properties we have visited. The views from the cottage over the river Severn, especially in the morning, were spectacular at times.

We particularly liked the comfort afforded by the cottage; the garden, the log burning stove, the relaxing sitting room and the layout of the cottage. I liked that it had everything that you would need to make it a home from home and the quality of furnishings and linen were good. I loved the location and the views from the cottage were breath-taking. It was lovely to be surrounded by beautiful countryside and relax in such charming surroundings.

It is not possible for the photos to do this cottage justice! EVERYTHING has been thought of - plus there are some really nice welcoming touches. Plenty of board games DVDs CDs books and maps/guide books to hand. The woodburning stove is an added bonus. Fabulous location too - loads to see in the surrounding areas. We will definitely return.

Magnificent views from every window. The sitting out area at the top of garden with views over the estuary. The owner rang us to check on our needs before the holiday. The friendly neighbour. The snug area for reading /listening to radio was a bonus. We loved the use of space in the cottage and the upstairs and downstairs bathrooms.

Gordon's View is a real home from home and the owner has thought of everything. Sitting at the top of the garden, relaxing with a cup of tea and taking in the breathtaking views was an absolute joy. Ray (next door) is a very special man and we were privileged to meet him.
