As soon as we stepped through the door, we instantly felt at ease in this home – its modern country style, neutral tones and thoughtful presentation make it cosy and welcoming. We loved the quaint, whitewashed courtyard with bistro seating – a great spot for an evening meal in the summer or leisurely breakfasts in the early morning. Both bedrooms overlook the patio so they are quiet and calm – you can guarantee a restful sleep night after night. The location is also ideal, right in the heart of Notting Hill and within a ten-minute walk of High Street Kensington. You’re spoilt for choice when it comes to places to eat and drink – especially given your enviable position between two fantastic pubs. For picnics and quiet afternoons, Hyde Park is ten minutes away, while Notting Hill Gate tube station is just three minutes around the corner should you fancy a trip into central London.
Home truths: *Only one set of keys is available, but there is a key safe outside so all guests should be able to access the home
*Watch your head when entering the flat, as there's a low beam measuring around 185cm – the kitchen also has a low ceiling of around 190cm
*This is an old house so the layout is slightly unusual – the kitchen and dining spaces are very narrow, while the master bed has to be accessed from the feet end, as two columns block access to the sides
*Child-friendly amenities such as a cot, highchair, baby bath, changing table and much more can be provided – just ask your host when booking
*Some traffic noise can be heard in the living room
