The cottage had everything we could ever need for our stay and in a good base for nearby attractions.. The hosts were lovely and very accomodating with an excellent welcome pack awaiting, whilst leaving us to our own devices. The village itself had everything we needed on the door stop with good pubs and a Co-op. would love to return at some point.

Neil and Janet the owners are absolutely lovely- very friendly and approachable- even to the extent of supplying us with a BBQ and an electric fan to cool down our frazzled greyhound! The cottage was immaculate and the standard of fittings fab. (loved the shower)
The welcome pack and all the extras included in the cottage were really appreciated. It's rare to find so much included!

Mr Brown, July 2019
Fuschia Cottage is a brilliantly modernised Stone Cottage in the lovely village of Middleton in Tees Dale.. The cottage is very well furnished and equipped and is an ideal home away from home. The cosy cottage is ideal for a relaxing stay or as a comfy base for exploring the natural attractions that this valley has to offer. The Village has plenty of shops, pubs, restaurants and coffee bars. The local people are warm, friendly and outgoing, just as you would expect in the County of Durham. The owners Neil and Janet were no exception, giving us a warm welcome to their spotlessly clean property. The welcome pack of wine, chocolate biscuits and choccies was a lovely touch and most appreciated as well as being delicious. There was wood aplenty for the living room fire if needed and the patio area was ideal for sitting outside with a glass of wine or two and enjoying the views of the local countryside. There are walking/hiking trails aplenty and access to the River Tees is easy to find. Overall this was one of our most enjoyable cottage stays and in no small part down to the warm and friendly way that Neil and Janet treated us and our big Red Boxer Tilly. It was a pleasure to stay in Fuschia Cottage and we would stay here again. I would highly recommend this property to anyone thinking of a stay in this area.
Mr Dickinson, July 2019

The hosts of the property were lovely and left us lovely welcome gifts which, we were not expecting so was a lovely surprise.. We were greeted upon arriving at the property. They are literally next door if we needed anything at all. We had the use of their washing machine and tumble dryer if required. We were also able to use the sink in their garage to wash our muddy boots and hang our wet gear if we needed to. Nothing was too much trouble. The cottage was superb and it was our first holiday with our young dog. Even our dog was made very welcome. We would highly recommend this cottage and the area was beautiful.

The cottage was great, big enough for three adults.. The photos don't do the cottage justice, living room & kitchen were very nice & the décor was excellent everywhere. Overall extremely clean & just what we wished for. We would book again.
The location was wonderful, the cottage was cosy and very comfortable and the owners should be proud of the standard they have made it. We have had many cottage holidays and this cottage was one of the best.

Beautiful cottage in a very quiet location.. Would definitely go there again.
We stayed at Fuchsia cottage for a week in march 2016. It is a very well equipped cottage and very well presented. Janet and Neil made us very welcome. The log burner makes it very cosy - we had to turn off the electric heating throughout the cottage once it was lit. We did something different every day, from a steady walk to Low and High Force waterfalls to a full day at Beamish museum.
Ms Purchase, April 2016
