Delightful cottage.. Spotlessly clean with bright spacious kitchen/dining area, cosy lounge and comfortable bedrooms. In spite of being pensioners we had no issues with the spiral stairs. The location is ideal - quiet and peaceful but very close to a variety of shops and within easy walking distance of the sea.

A cozy, clean comfortable cottage.. The only problem was the spiral staircase. Not the best thing if you need the loo in the night. If it wasn’t for that we’d go back.

Fair place is a beautiful cottage, spotless and well equipped.. ..Ideally located in the center of Hornsea, but also quietly tucked away from noise and traffic .... Wouldnt hesitate to book this property again..... However! There is a spiral staircase which would make it unsuitable for travellers who are

Everything in the cottage was superb.. There were a couple of things which could be a problem for a group of 4 people. The beautiful spiral staircase could be a hazard for children or any person with a disability. The second bedroom was smaller than the main one and the double bed was against the wall. I emphasise that given these, very small, inconveniences for us we praise the owners for the excellence of the hospitality. Brenda and Malcolm

The cottage is very well maintained and in a pretty location very close to The Mere.. Shops, including a wonderful butcher and restaurants were a few minutes walk away, no cars needed. We found it was within walking distance of the beach. I did know about the spiral staircase beforehand but by the end of the week I could have done without it!! On a slightly more serious note the stairs are difficult to negotiate with suitcases...soft bags are better and of course the bathroom is downstairs which may be a problem for some. The small bedroom is fine but be aware the bed is only accessible from one side and also had a footboard so no climbing in and out by the foot of the bed. Do not let this put you off, the cottage is so clean and fresh. We found the enclosed garden perfect on warm days for breakfast, coffee, evenings and enjoying a drink at the end of the day. The lovely fresh flowers, coffee machine, fresh milk, tea and delicious homade lemon drizzle cake were unexpected and a very welcome touch. Thank you so much.

This cottage is just perfection.. .. located in a quiet little spot but close to the mere and a nice walk to the sea front via the town centre, it is beautifully furnished, beautifully kept and with luxurious towels and an excellent range of utensils pots and pans. In addition a lovely well kept rear garden which was really quite a sun trap and where we enjoyed a cuppa when we arrived, along with the lovely home made lemon drizzle cake and quality biscuits left for us... and breakfast every morning in the sunshine too. Round the corner was a little Italian restaurant, reasonably priced and which exceeded expectations. On an evening when it got chilly we switched on the gas "log burning" stove... very cozy! All in all a great little place...

Cottage was great.. Spiral staircase was interesting. Clean new look to all rooms. Living room has a comfy 2 seater and 2 chairs that aren't as welcoming. Room is cosy but seating could be better. I would stay again if in the area.

If there were 5 star cottages this would be one of them.. The owners were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. This cottage is truly a gem of a find and I would definitely book it again.

Delightful cottage extremely clean and well equipped and would suit a younger couple.. Unfortunately, we found it uncomfortable to relax in and should have paid more notice to the spiral staircase and downstairs loo. We both tend to go to the loo at night and navigating the stairs in the middle of the night proved a nightmare. My husband is 6ft 6 and do the low beams etc throughout the cottage became another challenge. We felt a little claustrophobic and so cut short our stay. THe cottage is really well located as is Hornsea itself, I would imagine it becomes a dream in the summer months when you can sit outside.
