The owners must have known that building was about to commence. Some scaffolding had been put up before we arrived. Couldn't enjoy outside for the back end of the holiday. You will have to put up with this for months. 8.30 am noise starts and the extra building vehicles makes it almost impossible for vehicles to pass. I have raised a complaint and the owners haven't bothered to answer it or apologise. Sykes the useless holiday company I booked with say it was beyond owners control. I would like the choice of deciding whether to stay next to building site or not and they are advertising the lovely outdoor space when you can't enjoy it.

This is a wonderful property with amazing views. It is advertised as a four bedroom property but the fourth bedroom is in a separate small building in the garden. When we arrived and went to investigate this small building was not up to the quality of the main residence and quite honestly smelt as though something had died there. The two single beds in the small upstairs bedroom were not even made up, just completely bare. We didn’t query it as none of us had any intention of sleeping in this building and we made do with the three bedrooms in the main residence. To be fair, the main residence was beautiful, smart and clean. There is an amazing dining room, lovely garden and a couple of balconies, all with incredible views over the estuary, we simply felt that this was a three bedroom property and to advertise it as four bedrooms was a bit of a stretch. Also slightly disappointing for such a smart property was that the upstairs shower head was loose and the fridge door in the kitchen did not shut properly, things the agents should have picked up on. We also sadly lost one night as the agents changed the check in time from 3pm to 5 pm so they had an extra two hours for cleaning due to concerns over Covid 19. This was too late for us so we arrived the next day. There was no apology from the agents. The agents also did not make clear how steep and narrow the road is to get to this property. We have a Ford Galaxy and this only just got through the narrowest parts. The road is two way as well so goodness knows what you would do if you met oncoming traffic. This is not a property for daily trips in the car. Once parked you will probably not want to move it. I left feedback for the agents but received no reply or explanation. If you are not wanting to use your car much and you want a smart three bedroom property with wonderful views then this is highly recommended but as advertised and considering the lacklustre performance of the agents I can only give three out of five.
