Just had a long weekend in this beautiful cottage and couldn't have asked for anything more. Gaynor the host has thought of everything you need for a relaxing stay and many added extras. The hot tub was a perfect way to end our first 2 days of shopping & exploring and a relaxing start to our Sunday. The log burner was certsinly a bonus . Everything here is top quality and the bedding is sumptuous. If you are thinking of booking then don't hesitate. Thank you Gaynor for all your help and tips on places to go. We would certainly love to revist again in the future and highly recommend

This cottage is truly wonderful. Gaynor, the host has thought of everything to ensure it is a home from home. Beautifully decorated, comfortable bed, immaculatly clean and has a hot tub. It is just 15 minutes walk into gorgeous Chester and the cottage is across the road from the picturesque River Dee. There is a lovely pub with outstanding views a couple of minutes walk from the cottage. Gaynor was responsive when we had a couple of queries and didn't make me feel a nuisance. If you are thinking of booking, do it, you'll have the best time.

We booked this rental for a couple of reasons 1. The location is superb your very close to the walk into city center and also the walks by the River DEE , plus the Canal , where there are both bars and restaurants along both locations. The cottage is amazing , kitchen well designed and equipped . The bed was so comfortable and its very quiet at night time in the cottage. We walk a lot and the Jacuzzi was a welcomed bonus to relax in in the evening. The owner Gaynor we cant compliment her enough regarding her instructions and information . We also had the privilege of meeting her when she did midweek check on Jacuzzi . Do not worry though she will not disturb you or the accommodation as she can access the Jacuzzi from the garden gate when unlocked . This lady as obviously thought everything through and as I have said we had the privilege of meeting her our choice . Best Regards Peter & Carolyn

This homely little cottage for 2 is warm and comfortable, exceptionally clean, well equipped and everything is of very high quality. Don’t be put off by no parking it wasn’t a problem we parked just along the road (free) plenty of spaces. The cottage is conveniently situated for the city centre and races, just an easy 15/20 minute walk. We’ll definitely return for another lovely weekend here.

We had booked nearly a year in advance for Christmas and decided around September to add another night this was easily sorted. Gaynor messaged us on the morning of arrival to check what time we were expected to arrive and also called us to go through some of the information we needed. Throughout the stay Gaynor was contactable and this really made us feel at ease. The cottage was really clean and Gaynor had decorated it for us which was a really lovely extra touch. This is one of the best equipped places I have ever stayed, bath robes, towels, books, puzzles, everything you could ever need in the kitchen, hairdryer and so on. This made our stay really easy as it was a home away from home. There is a full size fridge and freezer either side of the oven, a washing machine, tumble dryer and a dishwasher. We were provided with a basket of wood for the log burner, the WiFi was strong and the tv connected easily to Netflix. We enjoyed the hot tub daily and the space the cottage gave us. There was plenty of free road parking, we had no problems finding a nearby space in the 9 days we were there. This really is a hidden gem and Gaynor is a superb host. I hope we can return next year.

A beautiful cottage with everything that you could wish for! Spotlessly clean and inviting, so lovely and cosy. Gaynor the owner kept us updated at all times, nothing was too much trouble at all and all the little personal touches around the cottage added to the homely feel. The bottle of fizz and cake were a lovely surprise. The hot tub was great after our shopping trip and day at Chester Zoo! Excellent location for getting into town and seeing local sites. Thank you for a wonderful few days

I have just returned from a fantastic trip to Chester, staying in this wonderfully quaint yet modern cottage. It is a short walk to Chester and only a couple of minutes to ‘ The Mount’ public house, which as the name suggests sits on high ground with views over the river Dee. Gaynor was available to answer and questions and give recommendations for dining etc. Her cottage is maintained and cleaned to the highest standards, but the highlight is the very private garden which is not overlooked by any properties, so relaxing in the hot tub is just that. In short, I can’t recommend this place enough.

Cosy and comfortable, met all of our expectations and more! Everything you would need to enjoy your stay is provided in Elv cottages. The cottage benefits from safe car parking, and a lovely hot tub! It was walking distance into the centre of Chester and there were beautiful views of the river Dee to enjoy on the walk home. Gaynor (the owner) was on hand to provide us with excellent recommendations for places to visit and places to eat... we could enjoy these places in a short drive each day. Overall 10/10 experience and we would highly recommend to everyone.

I didn't expect this to be honest and when I say this,it's because it is extraordinary! The personal touch in every little thing that the cottage offers is truly amazing and you can see that the owner went above and beyond to make the guests at home! It is a home far from home that makes our holiday perfect!
