We have just returned from a lovely stay at Drovers Cottage. Cottage was immaculate and very cosy. Owners left milk, cheese and fruit loaf which was a lovely gesture. The Bay Horse Pub was very welcoming and within walking distance. Chinese and Cafe 10 in market place were also v good. Plenty of walks in Wolsingham and High Force Waterfalls and Barnard Castle worth a visit too. Overall an extremely.enjoyable break

Had a great week ideal for dog walking, lovely cottage spotlessly clean very cosy heating doesn’t take long to warm up.. Ideally situated with walks from the door or park at free car park in the town and there are many Wayfarer walks that you can do. Will definitely be visiting again very good value for money.

The hosts were very welcoming yet completely unobtrusive.. The cottage is very cosy and well appointed, the bed and linen super comfy. Everything spotlessly clean. A lovely quiet location within walking distance of the village centre. Lots of lovely walks, many from the doorstep. Many thanks, 5*, would love to come back again sometime :-)

Had an excellent break in Drovers cottage.. Lots of walks nearby. (some hidden) . Only down side is no barrier at entrance, which matters if you have a young dog. Would certainly go again.

Wonderful country cottage for a two person stay.. Lovely and clean. Excellent WiFi. So cosy in winter as excellent heating system. Shower works really well. Lovely to hear the Owl at night. A good base for exploring northern Dales, Durham and coastal beaches. Would recommend for a relaxing away from stresses of life break.

Dishwasher not really needed for 2! !!! A fridge freezer would be more helpful. Boiler needs moving from the bedroom, when temp drops & boiler kicks in at 3 am very noisy!!!!!! But a nice clean, warm cottage most things there that you need.

A great location for exploring Weardale and maybe Teesdale, dogs welcome in local pubs.. Cottage is quite small, but much bigger than the tent we usually sleep in! Very warm and comfortable.
